you could just pour the contents of an ashtray into a deep fat fryer and produce a similar snack imho

 

Golden Wonder(I think) made great Sausage & Tomato(I think) flavoured crisps.

How about Bacon & Brown Sauce flavoured crisps made by Highlander? They probably should have tasted better than they did, in all honesty.

Their flavours were good in theory, but they just didn't manage it.

Regarding your post from about 20 minutes ago, you are probably thinking of Walker's Ham & Mustard?

 

Tudor Specials did Roast Beef & Pickle that were pretty good.

Anyone else had kidney stones? All these salty snacks might not be such a good idea.

 

I did try but the price of cigarettes and Bertolli was just too much.

I used to scour the ashtrays in local pubs but sadly smoking bans have been a major setback. Back in the day a Friday night out could make enough Twiglet substitutes to last me a whole year!

It's not ideal but 'll have to stick to the cheaper original alternative.
