there's a joke in that.. i even said so... if you read through Ive been took a very realistic view involving time. This is big for nufc .. jeez 5 million net spend over 10 years..
Gonna blow everyone out of the water....over a 10 year plan of incremental spending within a small £200m starting budget as it's difficult to attract the best to the NE. My money is on Martinez as the next manager, he will use it as a side project from his job with Belgium
the fact this takeover was even going to happen and that I am saying a man that buys a painting for his wall worth half a billion isnt interested in mediocrity and nufc will do well in time
Joe Lewis bought a painting for 95 million a few years back at the same time Poch wasn’t being backed in the transfer market which led to where we are today. But to be fair not everyone is a tight bastard like Joe Lewis..here’s hoping he’s dead soon tho eh.
Just FYI bro, City have everything you’re dreaming of (you can only spend so much money on players), and yet they still can’t compete financially with my club at times, even when our owner takes £1.5bn out of the club. Think about that when you think you’re gonna be snatchin Sancho.
tbh if we can get that high in the table thats great , but like I say these guys wont be happy with just top 8
If you look at takeovers in the prem by rich people you’ll notice only Chelsea and City have gone down the mega money buy the league route. Arsenal had two billionaire owners who never put any of their own money into the club (though to be fair Usmanov wanted to and was blocked by the board, if he’d got his way we would have been like Chelsea). Leicester and Everton have both been able to spend more money than before but they aren’t competing with the big boys for signings. We shall have to see how or if that changes. So just because an owner has a lot of money doesn’t mean they will necessarily spend **** loads of money on players. Or that it’ll mean you end up competing for the league. Don’t get me wrong, if your new owners decide you’re a play thing like City and good PR for them then you’ll eventually buy your way to success. But it could just as easily be the case that you just end up being run better than you are at the moment, and become more like Leicester or Everton are at the moment. Also remember that even with money it has to be spent correctly, they need to appoint the right people who know about football and the league to oversee things, otherwise you’ll just be a bit of a joke for a while giving huge contracts to players long past there best looking for a final pay day.
