Unfortunately the pattern has shown that the lowest figures are reported on a sunday .. something to do with them not getting the full figures over the weekend etc .. a more telling number will be seen on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday when the full figures will be available. More encouraging though is that there does appear to be a general slow down of admissions into hospitals nationwide over the last few days. Fingers crossed we may have reached the plateau.

 

Thats what the lady said at todays briefing ... expect it to go up tomorrow... meanwhile in Spain kiddies are going to be allowed out to play for the first time since March 14th...

 

It's good news like, but given we're all squirreled away, where are these people catching it from?

Some questions for anyone who saw todays press conference as the news channels seemingly didn't. What was said about home schooling and for those who don't have access (30%) issuing of laptops and 4g routers?

Was there also something about the number of tests not relating or having any relevance to the number of positive cases?

Not much mention of the expected delivery of PPE from Turkey not turning up.

The media seem to be focusing on pop stars performing from home.

So around 300 less deaths today than yesterday but that’ll be down to the usual weekend lag. However, this Sunday is lower than the last couple have been and numbers have stabilised all week.

My VPN has stopped working with BBC, seems they are blocking.

The WHO relies on assessed and voluntary contributions from member states and private donors for funding. As of 2018, it has a budget of over $4.2 billion, most of which comes from voluntary contributions from member states. The agency is part of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group.

Jan 20th WHO report said there were cases in several countries, and Jan 30th they declared an international emergency.

6 weeks after that declaration Cheltenham went ahead...
