The dogs have benefitted from this as I didn't get them dog food, so they have had my steak I was having tomorrow. Lucky gits.
I certainly feel extremely fortunate that I can still go to work. And the company I work for are talking of recalling employees from furlough leave which can only be a good thing. Before this all started, there were some days where I really didn't want to go into work but now I look forward to it as I can get out of the house all day.
I did say 'yet'. I am now. Boring Waitrose 'Nice Italian Red' as that is all Ocado had left for delivery
Yep so many at my place are gloom and doom about redundancy. I see it as a forced new opportunity...the world is my oyster
As you know when we had a chat the other week , I see this this as a start of a new exciting beginning
Yesterday, I had half a pound of scallops, seared in butter, and half a pound of asparagus for dinner. And then two hours later, I had the other half a pound of scallops and asparagus. Because it's the end of civilization and I can, dammit.
I think there is a Hesse novel with the first line: Each beginning brings new magic... Talking of which.. What do you call a magician who loses his magic? .......... Ian.... I'll get my coat and my excellent glass of Malbec...
That is the plan. The things I was going to do with the son in law over there are on hold as he is worried about what is going on there too - he had 'sold' his business for literally Euro millions lottery money, but that is on hold at the moment as it wasn't quite signed sealed and delivered. The dogs are too old to take over (11 next week), so the timing may be good in the end as we can stay here for a few years and maybe I'll work with him from here. Who knows. The way I feel though is as long as we all stay healthy, lets see what happens
I was just extremely baked and thought " Well I like mushy peas and I like bacon, **** it I'm just gonna stick them both in a roll" Literally was the dogs nuts!!
