There is only one set of supporters with any self interest in this, that is obvious just from this board alone.

Of course it hasn't been scrapped yet, there is still time to complete it though that is fast running out.
All clubs are saying they want to finish the league (if possible) but most are accepting that it's going to be very hard to do so, in the event we can't then all clubs should be treated equally and the only way to do that as it stands is to re-set to the start.

My issue is with the pundits twisting themselves in knots justifying stupidity while claiming all they care about is integrity.

Its crap luck on pool...but it is a farce that teams will be relegated, miss out of promotion or European football cos of stupid decisions.

We lost out of CL football in 2006 due to having to play with a sick squad cos it was the lsst day of the season and the integrity of the league was paramount.
We lost as a result.
If the illness had been a few games earlier the game would have been postponed...it was just bad luck...did I like it ? Like **** did I but **** happens mate.

I doubt if you or the other pool fan on here would be so indignant had united been in your position.

It is simply moronic to think it is ok to **** with next season...killing both the league and fa cup and possibly playing less league games (all of which hsve been suggested by the likes of Danny Murphy, Carragher, Jamie Redknapp etc etc) yet claim integrity is paramount.

If they had already won the league there would be no discussion about this.

I ain't got a dog in this fight tbh cos we aint getting a CL place or going down but the integrity of league football is about teams playing other teams twice with the advantage and disadvantage of home and away games. That disappears without crowds.
The atmosphere at Watford clearly helps them ... why should they lose that benefit?
