I think lewis is okay I just think he should think more, I think. But I still maintain it was an avoidable accident and thems the rules I didn't write em
I just think the tolerance is way too low at the moment. Talking about today alone it was NOTHING imho. Talking about the entire season is a whole other story. Hamilton have been terrible crashing into everyone this year and I seriously have blamed him for nearly every single contact he made. But not today, he wasn't trying something overly opportunistic or something dangerous, it was just a slight misjudgment. You might be right that he got a penalty according to the rules. I just think them rules are too strict.
to be honest i don't think it was the contact with Hamilton that caused Felipe's puncture but i think the contact caused Felipe to swerve slightly onto the dodgy curve in the middle of the track that also caused Hamilton's puncture last year with Webber
Schumacher's been given a reprimand for his bit of aerial acrobatics. Rosberg was lucky to get away with his IMO. For those saying Perez's race wasn't affected, Nico punting him off the track allowed him to get past, he was then holding Perez and Sutil up at the end so it effectively cost Perez 7th place and five points. At the very least I thought Rosberg should've yielded the position. Hamilton's was 50-50 whether he should've got a penalty for me. It was just a misjudgement, certainly not reckless and I'm sure other drivers made similar misjudgements today and scuffed the walls unnoticed. At the end of the day though it ruined Felipe's race, and he was punished more than Lewis because he was still behind once they'd both pitted. So from that point of view I can understand the penalty. Harsh, but fair.
Yeah, careless! since he just brushed him with his wing. The Spa incident was stupid when he didn't look in his mirrors.
I see what you mean, cause Hamilton got a puncture in quali, which he thinks he got from one of those rogue kerbs, but as far as I know, Hamilton's suspension broke last year, not a puncture
Massa lost additional time with the puncture because Lewis was able to lap much faster back to the pits and the saftey car erradicated the time lost and bunched the pack back up. Without that both Massa and Lewis would have been well out of it!
Not what I meant. The impact was 100% Hamilton's fault, but I thought it was 50-50 whether Hamilton should've been given a drive through.
Had a long chat with Jacky about this earlier. Seems those who don;t like Hamilton think it was a definite penalty, thouse with a sense of reality saw it as a simple mistake or an error of judgement in moving back in behind Felipe, which is exactly what he was trying to do. Question is, should a mistake always incurr a penalty?
