Trouble is, viruses are notoriously difficult to ‘treat’. Particularly coronaviruses (hence we still have no real treatment for a cold). The only really effective treatment for a virus now is with HIV, which is a retrovirus (so very different) where the treatment stops the virus replicating in the body,

Everyone should take Vit D supplements though, if they can. That really boosts the immune system (and most people are deficient, regardless how much time you spend in the sun). It may well be part of the reason why the BAME contingent are getting so badly hit, as darker skin doesn’t absorb Vit D as well.

    that’s excellent.

I’d point out here that my view on the issue with players’ money has never been about the players money, but about my believe it wrong that a club could use furlough on one set of staff earning “normal” money whilst being able to pay millions to players. I believed that rather than do that, they should have asked players for a cut/delay.

Every 3 or 4 days I pop to the bakers at about 06:30 to get bread , sometimes eggs . Now I’ve got a cold I can’t even do that . Not even leaving the house for a short walk with Mrs J at lunch time .

I loved the chap carrying the "Covid19 us a lie" placard. All garbed up in full PPE. Makes you think he's not entirely convinced.

The good news is that deaths in most countries have plateaued, and in many cases have begun to decrease.

The bad news is that the curve is very much not symmetrical...it's exponential on the incline, and very much more gradual on the decline.

I'm seriously dubious of even limited reopening in places like Spain, because even in decline the number of new cases per day exceeds that when the country went into lockdown. Our concept of normal gets shifted drastically, but the raw numbers are more meaningful than the trend when it comes to readiness: 3000 new cases a day is a wonderful reprieve compared to 9000, but that's enough active cases to create an awful lot of bombs waiting to go off, and it would take no time at all for that to ramp up again to a new peak.

He rides for 12 hours 3 times on the trot for 300k and the old Major just takes a leisurely stroll around the garden for 20 million. The oldies always had it easy.
