Why does Astro always get his analogies so fcking wrong <doh>

A better comparison would be to say a bakery deserves to go bust if its customers are shown live streams of its pies without them actually being able to go to the bakery to taste one.

Once we compare like for like it becomes even more absurd.

He's too thick to even get that right.

I doubt that bell end has ever seen a game live in the flesh, at any competitive level.

He therefore doesn’t have the vaguest clue about what actually being a fan is, and what the match day experience is all about.

I wouldn’t mind so much if he just accepted what he was, a plassie who contributes absolutely nothing to the game on any level, but he actually seems to think he adds some form of value and has the right to criticise those from all levels of the game, who actually follow it.

Only ever has streamed sex as well.

Understandable, it's very hard to get live goats in the house.

What I can't square is this view goes completely against his general working man and woman, socialist leanings. It's literally the most cynical aspect of capitalist market force driven bollox he could come up with regarding the sport.

Food shows like the Great British Bake Off have been pulling in multi-million viewing figures for years.

If your #smallclub fancies itself as a pie shop then just start a pie delivery service.

Football in front of large crowds is finished for about 12 - 18 months. Not my fault. Deal with it.

It doesn't bother me tbh and I actually pity him in a way. He'll never know what it's really like to follow a football club.

His insistence that games without fans will have no effect on the popularity are laughable though. Watching on the box will never be the same as being there in the flesh.

Small clubs don't get large crowds (or TV money), they manage to survive on a small group of real supporters. How will your club get on without gate receipts given that they nearly went into liquidation a few years back even with big crowds and TV money.

The game without fans isn’t a billion pound industry. It’s just 22 blokes playing footie.

The football TV product is nothing without the atmosphere. Hardly a shocker he doesn’t understand this though.

I always got the impression he was "off shore", that's why he tries too hard to prove he is some kind of supporter.

Difference being that the Great British Bake Off never built its success on live audiences. And that show is better compared to PL clubs as its a mainstream show. You really don't get this. Your pie shop comparison was exposed to be bollox so you change it and this is also a flawed comparison.

No there are other alternatives. You think you know everything. The rest of us know what will work and what won't and consider solutions to suit. You on the other hand try and fit the solution, no matter how impractical to what you want.

The definition will change in time. At the moment it's within 2 metres of another person.
