To be honest, I haven't read up as much as I should have about the whole debacle, so I have no clue what is happening. In saying that, it sounds like I am not alone.

 

UEFA meet next week to discuss what they want to do with leagues. The preference is still to play to a finish when possible but **** knows.

 

Uefa have the power to call leagues do they?

 

Most leagues will do as they're told by UEFA if they want to continue playing in their competitions next season, which I imagine they do

 

Probably, as they are the governing body, when push comes to shove.

 

Aye for their competitions. Of course everyone wants to get into their competition so will do as they say. I think UEFA are absolute ****ebags tbh and wouldn't expect anything next week. Too much money involved

 

Like I said, I haven't really been following it much. The only info I have read has been on here, which is probably questionable, to say the least.

 

UEFA can't officially end league seasons, that's up to the league themselves. UEFA will still have a big say though cos they've already said they want leagues played to a finish whenever possible, any leagues finishing early risk not getting in their competitions next season.

 

Every team "wants" to play to a finish though, well apart from one. There must surely come a stage when UEFA just say, game's a bogey though?

 

Then what? The European spots need to be given out. Yous could have came back against Leverkusen (improbable but its football) loads of things could have happened. I'm not comfortable with getting a Championship in this manner but then again we've never been in a position like this in our lifetimes (ER aside)

 

Like I said, game's a bogey. Whatever happens, lawyers are going to make a fortune, as there will be court cases galore. If Villa get relegated when the have a game in hand that could take them out of the bottom 3 etc. The whole thing is a minefield

 

UEFA can't decide league outcomes, they just don't have the power I'm afraid. I'd imagine that if further down the road it becomes impossible for leagues to be finished then UEFA would just put it in the hands of the leagues to come up with their own solutions which our league has already done.

 

Things will still go to court though, no matter what the outcome is.
