I think she will be the CEO. The fact that they want to invest in the city, create jobs in a city that is needing investment and generally invest locally is important for the area. This is why the fit and proper test will be ok and I see no problems. The only problems for me will be Ashley putting a spanner in the works and what restrictions there might be placed on teams after the covid carry on. I right in saying that the owners can invest as much money as they want in the infrastructure of the club because that is balance sheet injections. Stadium expansion, upgrades, training facilities all of which add value to the club. These are not affected by financial fair play. In addition they can negotiate legal proper advertising contracts with lots and LOTS of companies connected to their portfolio provided they are bona-fide commercial deals. Effectively we could double our income over night. We can also in the short term while we are building the foundations take on loan signings of good free agents/older players. Not just any old crap. And cherry pick our longer term signings properly after scouting them properly. Meaning we get a slow but steady build up.
And because of the brilliance of Mike Ashley we can spend loads of cash up front on transfers due to the profits we've made
To be honest the fact that he stripped the club and made the profits is actually about the only good thing he has done. What he has effectively done is cleaned the club for a new owner to come in and crack on.
In addition is it any coincidence that we have a lot of players out of contract at the end of this season. Giving the new owners even less of a problem. All the crap is being cleaned out. The good players are on good contracts. The long staffs although we think they are good he didn’t want them tied up on long expensive contracts. This is potentially a blessing in disguise.
If I had the chance I would try and persuade someone like bale to come and or Kante or even William.... I know I know but hear me out. We need a big attraction to draw in good young players. Two or three solid good players would do it to get in the younger long term players. We could be talking about players like grealish, McGinn, sane, Bowen and the like.
