At least Watford didn't lose on it for the first time since the Semi Final against Spurs with the barman in goal

    Morning, Dave; morning, all. :)

OK. How to get the cat to the vet. I’ll let the cat tell the story:

Carrier in middle of kitchen. Time to run under kitchen table - humans are bastards, especially the biggest one. Kitchen abandoned by humans. Ten minutes later, time to creep out, tentatively move nose toward carrier - beware, I think it probably has 5000V running through it. Go back under table.
Main bastard human, the one that demeans himself and loses any dignity he thinks he has for a little bit of acknowledgement in return (prat), comes into kitchen. He has the Blanket of Buzz I sometimes deign to sleep on (who is this Buzz Lightyear, anyway?). Bastard human has put blanket inside carrier - what a fool to think I would go for that! Stay firmly under kitchen table. Wait a minute, biggest human bastard has gone to fridge - things are looking up. He’s gone to the Tupperware Tub of Joy, that contains the Green Elixir of Nip!!! Why is he placing the Green on the blanket inside the carrier? I’m here, pillock!
He’s left the kitchen. Ha! Fool! Now I can edge out and enter the carrier to roll around on the Blanket of Buzz...

Morning all. Quite a lot of cloud about this morning with the possibility of showers this afternoon and thunderstorms this evening. Yesterday the mange tout came out from under the cloches, but I wonder if it was the right thing to do if there are storms in the offing. Peas are also ready to face the elements, but I think they can stay under cover for another day or two. Sooner or later another shopping trip will be required which is the last thing I really want to do. Mme has basically planted herself at home tending to things in the greenhouse, and coming up with some really great meals as she delves into the freezer to see what is there and long forgotten. The leg of lamb that was 3.5 years old was still very good, but bought in to feed the whole family, so rather too big for the two of us. Having started it Sunday, and having several meals off of it, there was still enough for two shepherds pies to go back into the freezer. Better get on before the rain maybe comes. Have a good day whatever you are planning. <ok>

It's a bit chilly up here today, so am just settling down, with a mug of coffee & bottle of rum, to watch our quarter final match against Palace on footballia.net.
I think I'll need the rum - the commentary is in Russian...

I don't think so but you never know
It was also the start of the American Civil War but I can't remember that very clearly
