Sounds very similar to stuff we had from our new owner, top four/CL etc to get the fans behind them. And 5 managers later we are still no better placed. The rumors of FFP relaxation will only help strengthen the position of the clubs at the top table, they have played within the rules and made large lumps of profit/have a bigger fanbase pumping cash in and have better long term commercial deals. What it will do in the sort term is help everton balance the books. Siggurdsson for the Toon, I hear that Allegri likes him
I wouldn't go as far to say a peasant, but he certainly isn't on the same level of wealth the top clubs have available. If PIF is truly taking over 80%, Newcastle being a top side is almost a guarantee, but as Chaos has said I'd honestly take top ten and a cup run every year.
Usually being positive and confident about the future of your club is the perfect bait for a few on here.
and again, even if FFP is relaxed pal, it's not like the Chelsea and City deals that allow almost unlimited spending.
who cares ? we have a net spent of 5 million over the past decade ... i really feel a new training ground, facilities , the best coaches, investment in youth academy , better managers and hundreds of millions on players will likely see improvement ...plus it can be sustained even if we go backwards at times... we can simply crush the teams around us right now and in time compete with the top 8. if you think the prince of saudi arabia has bought a football team to compete with the likes of everton you are off your trolley
@brb this thread needs to be stickied so we can remind Chaos about it when he's calling for the next manager to be sacked after two defeats in a row.
Guaranteed to happen. Every single time we lost a game the entire Newcastle board erupted in assurances we were going to be relegated and the manager, board, coaching staff, tea ladies and grass cutters should be sacked. Absolute nightmare.
Who are Newcastle going to compete with? Wolves, Leicester, Everton etc as the best of the rest. you don't understand the position Newcastle are in at the moment do you. I thought the same when Moshiri took control and having Usmanov in the background....
its the crown prince of saudi arabia 80% or pif who have 300 billion 10% ruebans bros who have 18 billion and 10% pcp.. ...
at present yes, but you are not looking 10 years down the line. you're sleeping on the enormity of this one.
It is, and she has 10%. Quite why the Saudis need her equity stake or would want it for that matter is a red flag imo. As if they’re intending throwing £100’s of millions at it, she hasn’t got the financial wherewithal to put her chunk in, so why would the Saudis want to massively increase the equity value of a 10% stakeholder for nothing? Makes no sense.
keep holding on to whatever makes this more comfortable for you mate . lets just see what happens ... it might not even happen yet.
