He’s not lending them it i don’t think. Its a gauruntee for the £150m he is owed via his DLA. Effectively they are paying £150m up front and the balance is owed at a later date? Which is classed as a loan in the eyes of the law but it’s actually a guarantee.
And the BBC now reporting it's all but done: "The Premier League have also been informed of the potential deal and are understood to have begun the process of carrying out checks under its owners and directors test." https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52284645
I’m thinking that it is a timing thing regarding paperwork but the premier league must have indicated that it’s all ok. Thus the movement today. It wouldn’t have happened if there was any indication of it being rejected. Also given the potential of investment for the premier league (double standards disclaimer right here) the premier league stand to lose a fortune with other companies going bust or financially strapped. So what better way of ensuring premier league income streams than to have the wealthiest family in the world an asset and owner of Nufc.
correct...they already know before the official checks are done... i read this a few weeks ago.. its a done deal
So - what’s the clinching proof that means you’re going to crack that first can? I don’t mean the ones we’re all drinking right now to calm the nerves. I mean the first celebratory one? For me it’s a statement from Staveley that she owns the club. Won’t believe it until then.
