They certainly are. We supply a lot to the NHS. March is always manic. Usually double the sales of any other month.

The Oasis and Warehouse Group looks to be the next to call in the administrators, 90 stores and 430 department store concessions (many in Debenhams), with 2,300 jobs at risk.

I saw a report on one of the opposition supporting screeching places with a headline saying the ONS proved the true death toll was more than double what the ‘government’ had announced at the time.

With hundreds of idiots in the comments believing it.

We’ve already discussed that report on the town in Italy where every single person was tested a week or two back, but the death toll there was several times higher than average despite only a handful of covid deaths.

    Strange isn’t it.

About to hit £2.3m! Still increasing too.

Meanwhile, the BBC have announced they’re doing a telethon for the charities suffering due to Covid-19. It’s a Children In Need and Comic Relief joint effort with presenters from both signed up already plus the likes of Gary Barlow, Peter Kay, etc too.

Maybe they will but some other countries have taken a different approach to us and have different outcomes, for example Germany, Singapore, South Korea and to some extent China. All these countries have put tracing and isolating people who have been in contact with those diagnosed with coronavirus close to the top of their strategy.

Our government had a choice on how to react and for that they should be held to account, especially if the deaths in Germany continue to show their strategy saved more lives.

If everyone in the country agrees to donate a tenner then Matt Baker, Zoe Ball, Lenny Henry, Davina McCall and Paddy McGuinness will be hosting The Big Night In live on Thursday 23 April.

If everyone agrees to double their donation then the five zany superstars have agreed to **** right off and leave us alone.

    Twenty notes from everyone please.

Germany had mass testing facilities already in place, we couldn't have done what they did, however much we wanted to.

Singapore are now having a bit of a wobble, their cases are on the rise again.

All those countries had mass testing facilities in place already. I do not recall any party in the last 10 years proposing to throw millions into wide scale diagnostics labs so no matter who formed the government we would have had the very same issue.

Police in Gloucestershire stopped more than 900 vehicles over the Easter weekend, including a group driving from London to the Cotswolds to stay in a holiday home - another to a driver towing a caravan for a holiday. More than 1,300 calls were made to Police relating to #COVID19.

I have to take my wife for screening either on Friday or Saturday, they can't tell us the location or the time yet.

PPE - We've just received a delivery of "well over a million masks", a gift to the British people from the government of Taiwan.

anyone see that lad from hull making the news camping in wales?
i also spotted news of a family wearing masks travelling to the lake district for a day out
    from middlesex or similar

and i saw video footage of 50-70 people getting off a train at acton and waiting on the platform then getting on another on march 31st with very little distancing

even in our house my wife has been enforcing a strict 2 metre rule now that she walks like john wayne

Normally, if some of the world's largest players in their field announced they were collaborating to develop a new product, one would expect competition regulators to be crawling all over every detail.

However, these are not normal times, so news that GlaxoSmithKline and Sanofi - respectively the world's first and third largest players in vaccines - are entering into a collaboration to develop a vaccine for COVID-19 is instead being welcomed. Shares of both GSK in London and Sanofi in Paris have risen.

South Korea ran 15,000 tests a day. I wouldn't call that mass testing, at least not mass testing that was beyond our government. They started earlier and targeted some of their tests to people who had come into contact with anyone who had the virus. They then isolated anyone testing positive.

Germany is testing 100,000 a day, the same figure the government said they'd achieve in less than a month. If they'd have started planning for that level of testing in December/January we'd have had over half a million more tests done by now.

Singapore's wobble is due to the virus being imported from abroad as people return to their families.
