Me and my then girlfriend got stuck in a lift in a hotel in Dublin with Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger - no real drama as we were only stuck for about 10 minutes and Baldwin then insisted we went to the bar with them, seemed like a really nice couple but they got divorced not long after.

Went to an awards dinner in London just after the 2012 Olympics and was sat next to Anna Watkins who had won gold in the rowing - really nice person and very pretty. Nipped to the toilet and when I came back Roger Black had nicked my seat and was trying to chat her up and then pretended that he hadn't seen me stood there waiting to sit down again - kn*b!

I also met Chris Waddle when he was playing for the Mags - loved himself.

I was hoping that you'd say that you were responsible for the horrendous state of his teeth when they became well known and then enjoyed a warm glow at the 000's it must have cost him to fix them.

I’ve had a game of pool with Peter Ebdon at a Wellingborough Police Station social do twenty odd years ago. Suffice to say he thrashed me.

Met SNQ twice in two days. Both times in Singapore.

I think that’s about it for me unless you want to include SD at the SOL a couple of years back. I was stood next to him when he went arse over tit trying to kick a football and which was caught on camera by the STID film crew.

Used to work for Sky TV so met most of the "famous" people there, Kirsty Gallagher was really sweet and would smile and say hi when she walked past me, also met Jamie Redknapp several times but found him much more aloof and unfriendly.

Met loads of horror actors and directors over the years, probably the most famous was Christopher Lee a few years before he died, a total gentleman and incredibly well mannered, but absolutely huge and really imposing even at that age.

Randomly saw Neil Warnock going down a tube escalator in London with his wife once, he looked pissed off and angry (there's a surprise), also saw Phil Jupitus looking at CDs in HMV in Oxford St (he looked grumpy and was really fat).

I,ve met him once or twice, and my reference was to the first time, just after the 1973 success and he was in the company of several of his team mates and their wives on a night out, he was rather aggressive and probably the worse for drink. Pleased you had a better experiance. <ok>

Of course not. He was playing a rank amateur! I struggle to work out one end of the cue from another. I think the game was over in about 10 minutes. I still have the photo somewhere of me and him shaking hands before the game started though.

To follow up on an earlier post Bob Geldorf got the right hump with us both (both of us were film extras) when my cousin asked the members of Pink Floyd for their autograph, Geldorf who was at the time talking to Alan Parker the film director and we all was amongst members of Floyd .
We were between sets of The Wall (see image ) Geldorf went to sign my cousins autograph book and my cuz took the book away from him saying he only wanted the proper 'musos' -Waters hid his a wide smirk behind his hand whilst watching Geldorf vent.

I still have lot's of memorabilia from the set locked away.

Hardly a grade A star but I've also "met" Robbie Savage in Oadby Pizza. He had just come from the Weatherspoons across the road (in Oadby, near Leicester, where the student residences are for Leicester Uni.). We made a few jokey comments about how he was Premiership footballer and drinking in the cheapest local bar and he was a bit prickly but was graceful enough to pretend to not be bothered. He was also with a massive mate so we didn't push it too far.

I lived in Monaco, for a short period, and it was very very strange ...

... It's a great place to visit, as a tourist, but it's like the Twilight Zone to live in.

I can't give details, even after all these years, but I was pretending to be a world famous person so they could reap the tax benefits without having to actually live there. I was driving his car, using his credit card and living in his fabulous rooftop apartment on the Boulevard de Suisse.

As part of 'his' routine I'd walk to his favourite breakfast restaurant every morning. On the very first day I found myself at the next table to Ken Bates who I'd had a nasty run in with in Cannes a few years previously ... shyte!!!

I decided that, as we were both living in the same small town, I'd try to build bridges. So I asked the waiter if he'd invite Mr Bates to join me at which he did. He's a very imposing man so I took a deep breath, introduced myself and braced myself for the explosion ...

... but he didn't recognise me and had no idea who I was <laugh>

Having accepted my total insignificance, and irrelevance to my new mate Ken, I sat through an hour of the most bombastic self important drivel I've ever encountered, after which he left leaving me to pay the bill. This continued, day after day, during which time I couldn't escape due to the fake life I was living.

Each time he launched into various vicious rants against all kinds of football clubs, players, famous people, supporters, journalists, locals, etc, then left me to pay. it was absolutely exhausting.

He's by far the most unpleasant human being I'd ever met ...

    ... and, sadly, there's quite a list.

I'd implore you to accept I've actually met @Gordon Armstrong on more than one occasion <laugh>
