    Really?
    Does that genuinely work?
If it does then I'm going to cut down to half a bottle a day too <bubbly>

Of the 667* new deaths announced today, 118 occurred on April 12 while 537 took place between April 1 and April 11.

The remaining 12 deaths occurred in March, with the earliest new death taking place on March 26.

Look boys and gals. Give me an honest assessment. Will flights to the US be back in the air by September or will
I be kicking a planned visit to see the relatives into touch.

I'm not certain about any of this but I understand people who think they are vulnerable have to register (or be registered by someone else on their behalf) on a government website. It is quite likely that there is a tickbox in that process which asks permission for the govt to pass the details on to other parties, it's quite normal on many commercial websites.

I take your point though, it's a lot of personal data flying about...

Depends where your parents live, though councils have set up schemes like next* to help with 'essentials' delivered by all those NHS volunteers...

As I have said before I think, Humberside plod deserve some credit on this.
They seem to have taken the radical position of enforcing the law...rather than enforcing politicians policy statements and media ramblings.

    good on them

Absolutely. I certainly had reservations when it was announced, but I'm more than happy to see that it looks very much like I was wrong. <ok>

I think flights might be back on but I wouldn't want to be on one until a vaccine is available. The longer this goes on the more inclined I become to stay at home. The prospect of waking up one morning with a bit of a cough then being dead a week later gets more frightening as each day goes by.

I was delivering prescriptions and groceries from the Smile Foundation to vulnerable people last week as our work appointments had been reduced.

Makes it pretty much impossible to follow the actual death rate, unless it's taken over a significant amount of time.

That’s interesting. I have a couple of KLM flights booked in June (for the Euros) and I’m patiently waiting for them to be cancelled as that’s the only way I’ll get a refund, I think.

I am on the at risk list, copd. Received an e mail questionnaire to complete asking if I needed help with anything. Fortunately friends, family and neighbours have rallied round so I am OK for now. (Not withstanding I would be mortified if any of them contracted this bloody thing chasing around on my behalf) I subsequently received a phone call from the council asking the same and gave me a dedicated phone number should circumstances change. As yet I haven't heard from any of the food chains, but if i had ticked the assistance with shopping box they may have done.

Fully concur with your final sentence. How indeed.

I know of some people that got the Government letter, and others that didn't.

For those that didn't, they still received a call from the Council asking if they needed any help.

If your folks haven't received that call, they can contact the Council on 01482 300307 seven days a week, 9-5.

If you booked direct. If you booked via an online travel agent, you'll probably have to try to get the transaction charged back via your credit or debit car, but that's easier said than done. I'm more than £2,000 out of pocket for flights to Greece and Japan.
