They’ve already voided their leagues. It’s been done.

They'd run out of cash by August. Having to repay the TV revenue would then bankrupt them.

    That’s completely false.

The only revenue they’ve lost from having no football is circa £5m in gate receipts. They’ve got over £40m in cash reserves. He was saying if the NEXT season isn’t confirmed and therefore the August TV payment isn’t received, together with having to pay back £35m from this one, then they’d run out of cash. And what?

We were talking about whether I cared not whether it was being done. Thanks to the reassurance that clubs aren't being screwed I now care even less than before about their cancellation.

So if we 'bin it off', as you say, do we end where we are now, average points per game, 1 point each for games left, or start again where we were in 2019 with points carried over. You're surely not saying it's more fair that say Spurs, to pick a club randomly, gets another shot at the CL while Leicester dont? So null and void is the most altruistic way you can conceive of being the least unfair? Hmm.

Shocked to hear that you're not interested in football, you're only interested in Liverpool. SHOCKED! <laugh>

They've received best part of £100m for a season they haven't completed. Clubs are paid in advance. Complete league or pay the money back, which is what every football body has been saying all along but you consistently ignore.

The TV companies have had 3/4’s of what they paid for.

The talked about potential rebate is circa £35m per club.

    Sit down you desperate dong.

@astro are you more bothered about Liverpool being denied a league title, or not being able to get round to your cousin Matth’s to shag the dog due to social distancing measures?

If you're going to jiggle the maths around like that, then you have absolutely no argument about ending it now on a points average per game.

They want the money, they’re CEO’s of decent large businesses, it’s their job ffs.

But, to pretend there’s no other options re: the money (I note you swerved my post on what some of those alternatives could be btw) or that even worst case, if it was completely lost, that would somehow bankrupt the game, is Kopite nonsense.
