It must be a strange thing having the body of an adult but the brains of a child.

A am a Labour man, but Corbyn's back story was always insurmountable.
However the point is well made, if a labour govt screwed up preparing for an epidemic and then delayed taking decisive action, they would have been slaughtered!

Not surprising that we didn't see the importance of PPE really when the prime minister was shaking people's hands who had the virus less than a month ago.

Wonder how many innocent souls he managed to infect before he eventually went into quarantine, because of his incautious behavior (not to say stupidity /not to say arrogant/ behavior).

You unadressed comment followed directly on the heels of a number of post stemming from my original contribution. I thus assumed this unadressed comment was part of the conversation - if it was not I then, of course offer my apologies.

Conjecture about the length of the lock down on the news today, either it's 3 or 6 weeks duration -tbh I'm hoping for 6- as it provides me with more a chance of eventually getting a good nights sleep and a bit of a lie in ...

I'd be hoping for 6 weeks too. Spain seem to be opening up again far too quickly. They're a week removed from their peak but they're still seeing 600+ people a day being infected even during lockdown. They could spike again by the end of the month in my opinion. As for the UK, there's no evidence to say we've seen our peak yet.

Bang on, we need to be sure we’ve peaked and when we’ve peaked let us see for the next 2 weeks or so the further numbers.

If we lift restrictions too early we will clearly go back to day 1 week 1.

The lockdown is hard but going back to square one would be sickening.

Let's see it out as long as we need to ...

... as that great philosopher, Maria Mena, once said,
