Morning all. A lovely warm sunny morning even if there is a stronger breeze. Showers are forecast for this evening which I don't mind as it will save me having to get the watering can out. All of my young plants have been doing well since the false start with my old haricot vert seed. Yesterday's trip to the supermarket showed how the numbers had decreased with the mountain of chocolate Easter bunnies still waiting for a home. In normal times people are willing to pay a lot of money for some very large and elaborate Easter eggs, and will give them to family members, but this year they will only see them by video links. The Parisians who always come to the family home for a week are not here, and the large house remains shuttered and closed. Have a good day whatever you will be doing, and keep safe.
Walking today.. Remembering my mum who would have been 99. We went to the park where her ashes were scattered.. Not a soul there ... We walked down lanes and through paths only a couple of miles north of Leeds.. Silence.. Save for the all encompassing sounds of nature .. Birds... Lambs.. On the lanes many cyclists, they have taken over. One sad site was evidence of rubbish, dumped by city people now that the tips are closed. However was a good day to be alive and virus free... Let's all hang on in there...
Back from my wife's ranch for Easter, semi-lock down (as in strongly recommended to stay at home) is going ok. Still, waiting for **** to really hit the fan here. Tick-tock. Take care y'all.
Morning, Dave; morning, all. Sounds a bit windy out there. The lovely sunny weather has certainly helped our spirits. Croquet and boules were planned for today. If it’s not too cold, we’ll have a go. Have a good day, everyone, and as Mex says, stay safe.
Morning all. Another warm sunny day here, and the rain showers that were forecast overnight didn't arrive. My suspicion is that they are recycling old forecasts rather than go into the office. After the drought we experienced last year I am trying to manage my water supply better when watering the plants. The promise of some rain in the next 24 hours and I don't water, but despite my best efforts to bulk up the soil with compost, it is still very light and dries out quickly. No rain forecast now before next weekend, so back on the watering can today. Have a good day whatever you are doing.
