Yes ... think it was after Roy had died ... Roy made my top 10 ... went for The Comedians but It's Over and Crying could also have been there ... Elvis Presley referred to Roy as "The voice" ... and Elvis wasn't bad <whistle>

I stumbled across Comedians, as it's a lesser know know song...And probably his best

    Elvis Costello,, a forgotten name..

This ranks up with Disturbed, 'Sound of silence that just stops me.

Guess i also judge how good a song/band is as to how it will travel to a live audience.

I don’t think I can even attempt to do this. I like too much over different genres and decades.

Only way to do it is to go with the now... if you were to go onto YouTube right now to watch music, what would you go to first? ... then work from there ...

It wouldn’t be a true reflection of anything as within ten mins I’d think of something else I love.

    Richard Ashcroft; why not nothing
    Oasis; slide away
    The clash; rock the casbah
    Happy Monday’s; Bobs yer uncle
    The smiths; charming man
Nirvana; the man who sold the world
    Massive attack; unfinished sympathy

Slide Away is arguably Oasis's best track. It was very good live, even at the **** Wembley gig I went to, but particularly at Maine Road. Shame they turned to **** after the second album.

I saw them at Finsbury Park when they released their third album. I was right at the front ; Noel asked the crowd for any requests; I shouted Talk Tonight. He looked in my direction and said **** off.
