TBF i think we're looking almost a complete team at the minute, with Just the Left Back slot needing filled. Need more strength in depth though (upfront and in defence anyways)

He will never be a £35m striker but take that price tag away from him I think he will do alright. He had a good game yesterday and the team didn't play 'hoof ball' like some would suggest.

A bit harsh on RVP, yes there were times yesterday he should have passed but he knows he's the best finisher Arsenal have by a mile - and with his record he's entitled and earned the right to take on the shot. And if I had a choice of shooting or passing to Walcott to finish I know what I'd do. Long for about £4m wouldn't have been a bad squad player, still young and low wages. Ruiz, would have been the ultimate panic buy and I'd rather we signed players we want rather than signing someone for the sake of it. Gameiro and Erdinc, don't know much about them but never wanted Erdinc.

I'm very happy at the moment with our midfield and striking options. We're nothing short of fantastic with the first choices and the cover options (e.g. Gosling, Ferguson, Sammy, Marveaux and Ben Arfa (the later two will be first team soon)). One more striker and some defensive cover and the potential here is huge.

I think if we don't sign at least a defender and striker in the January window we'll throw it all away.
Good start so far though, let's see if we can keep this form going through October - that's the real challenge.

Anyone think we should loan out Ferguson? I'd really hoped he'd break through this year but we just have so many options I dont think he'll get enough games.

still want welinton (not the boots) would be such an amazing signing suprised he was never mentioned in the press with one year left on his deal amazing scoring recored and wanted out of russia
however out of the ones we were linked with i think i really would only have had gamerio looks proper class but never wanted to come so probably a good job he didnt or we may have another mercenary on our hands
if best ba and benny all play at 100 % we'll be at no great loss

I would just offer him to the top 8/10 sides in the Championship and put a recall clause in.

Yeah this would be a good idea since it's unlikely we'll see him very much with all of our midfield choice. Would be a top quality prospect for next season with plenty first team football under his belt.

Not so much Simmo.........methinks he's a lucky lad to get any game .but the Saylor/Colo combo.........it's key.

Yes we did miss out, a few games in and yes we are doing well however lets not get over excited we are paper thin in all areas.
I am still not sure Baa is the man if u take away yesterday i thing he has been poor.
If we get injuries we are screwed simples.
A decent forward is needed and back up and the back and we would be a decent outfit however still not confident this season in general.
SO FAR SO GOOD SO CREDIT WERE ITS DUE

I think Simmo makes lots of tackles which is good , however I agree he needs to improve what he does once he's made a tackle.

If they wanted a good striker on the cheap, I'm surprised they didn't go back in for Wolfswinkel. 22 years old, 36 goals in two seasons and 5m. He's now went to Portugal and continued his fine for with 5 goals in 6

We needed a new CB and another striker - The fact that we didn't get either of those is unacceptable, and can't be glossed over by the current good performances of the team.
Realistically we've got two strikers: Ba and Best. Shola's not good enough, Lovenkrands isn't good enough, and Ranger certainly isn't good enough, nor has the right attitude. Ba's knee is questionable, and we shouldn't forget that Best spent a long time out last season. Should either of those get injured this season we won't be looking so good.
The defence is also weak - Coloccini is fairly solid, but Taylor's injury record is not good. Williamson is out for a while already, what's going to happen should Coloccini or Taylor get a red card? Kadar has basically no experience, and relying on him seems foolish. I've heard Perch will be used as CB cover, but I don't need to tell you why that's concerning.

The players that have been brought in all look very good - But there are areas that needed to be strengthened, and weren't.
