My dad hasn't been well over the last few days. He went downhill last night and my mum had to call an ambulance.

The paramedics told him he has the conoravirus.

They've checked him over, and for an 83yo, he is in remarkable health, and didn't need to go in the ambulance.

His only symtoms very feeling sick, and a slight temperature.

The ambulance driver said that coronavrus was 'absolutely everywhere'

Sorry to hear that! Hope he recovers quickly! I'm sure he will.

Glad to hear he is battling it Elland. Yes I believe the virus is everywhere too. I had a strange cough in February that used to be worse lying down at night. Came back from lanzarote on 19th March and shut myself away cos I felt crap. Looks like many have had it but different symptoms. Did I have it? I just don't know.

Aye Wakey. Similar story to me. My wife works in an office with 2 people who went skiing in Austria in February. She brought home a bug. She felt pretty bad but no coughing. She is still recovering now. She passed it on to me I think and it settled on my chest, particularly bad lying on my back. Left me short of breath. Just about over it now I hope but it's been a month or so.

No idea if that was it or not?

Great question. They performed a few medical procedures you'd expect blood pressure, temperature, ECG etc. Asked loads of questions, and was told 'you have the coronavirus. He went on to say that it was absolutely widespead beyond anybodies expectations, and monitor the condition but they were not concerned about his health as of last night.

They had no testing kits

The paramedic had 40 years experience, obviously close to retirement. He had already had coronavirus.

He had seen all the epidemics over the years, and said that it was his opinion that his virus had been deliberately released, and how abnormal it was for a virus to spread as quickly as this had

Should be easy to figure out who released it in a couple of years. Worlds economy will be in tatters and one or two will be thriving

I’ve felt all along the Chinese know a lot more than they’re letting on. Strange the 30 something year old doctor who discovered it was a “victim” despite the country having so few “recorded” deaths.

Two days ago, my stepson (works in Asda no protective gear) phoned, said he had a fever, all his limbs ached and terrible diarrhea, he is also asthmatic. A quick look on Google and indeed, diarrhea is a common sign, usually victims get hit harder as they report it later suspecting it’s a tummy bug.

The wife’s been on the phone a couple of times a day checking on his condition, day three this morning the diarrhea has stopped, the fever gone but he still aches, not as bad as he did. All very strange and the sooner the test kits to show if you’ve any kind of possible immunity to it the better.

I think it’s going to be a surprisingly high set of results, maybe even 60% showing they’ve had it or immune.

Yeah, I can see how that looks. The point I am trying to get across is that I work in a team who work and handle components all together. Some have had all symptoms and been pretty sick with it, others have had what I would say are cold symptoms and the majority have had no symptoms. None have been tested so are not part of the statistics.

If it was covid19 I would say it is highly likely we were all exposed to it.

The lack of testing is the real let down. For all I know it could have been a seasonal bug. The poor fellas who got it bad were very ill for a week. Others just a bit of aches and pains in the chest. The rest nothing!

I'm just hopeful that most have had it, shown no symptoms, and are now immune. The testing elsewhere suggests this might just be the case.

Sorry if my ramblings were a little muddled.<cheers>

This is what I was hoping as well. Early signs in South Korea suggested that this may be the case so I was quite optimistic. Unfortunately since then studies have shown that it’s only a minority who get the virus asymptomatically so it’s probably not the case. Until we get a reliable antibody test it’s going to be difficult to know.

We should be bracing ourselves for a huge death toll next week. Many trusts won’t release full figures over the bank holiday weekend and we might also get the latest figures for community deaths. I’m expecting Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday may be the peak of our death toll but since deaths lag behind hospital admissions we might not see a significant decrease for a while.

Same for me, headache 3 and a half weeks ago, then felt rotten with what seemed like typical headache/man flu. Not bedridden and not typical symptoms apparently but couldn’t shake it. Then about a week ago developed a cough and lost all sense of smell. Suddenly 2 weeks down the line my none typical symptoms look much more typical. That said the only thing that differentiates what I’ve had for me v a normal ‘bug’ is how long it’s lasted.

There’s millions of us like this not sure if they have normal man flu or corona!

Some free advice.

If you have any spare dosh, invest it in the global gold markets.

Predictions are that they will go up by 6% every week the lockdown goes on.
If it's months and months, you will earn a packet.
