    You had me <doh>
I had visions of the two of you sneaking off to a secret kickabout on the coast :bandit:

If the lockdown goes on for months, I could imagine underground matches being organised in remote rural areas by the same dodgy types who set up illegal dog fights or hare coursing. But I know you gentlemen would never partake in such naughtiness.

On a serious level, I do see the non-league game starting up first before the professional stuff.

@Smudger603 will see the appeal of non-league when AFC Charlton form.

One aspect of that appeal will be no more apologists :1980_boogie_down:

I’ve done a bit of non-league and thoroughly enjoyed it old boy - and if there’s no apologists does that mean the vinegar pissers will disappear also :emoticon-0105-wink:

Everyone will be welcome at AFC Charlton; ex-protesters, ex-boycotters, folks who didn't protest or boycott....

    Everyone except Duchatelet supporters.

I'm not naming names. There's no need to. They know who they are.

Roland Duchatelet divided the Football Club from the Valley, and then he sold the Football Club for £1 to some fraudsters who he knew would be unable to afford to buy the Valley later.

How can any Charlton fan hold him blameless for doing that.
RD my not have done anything he can be prosecuted for, but he has killed Charlton Athletic.
Anyone who still believes he is an innocent party is as deluded as the man himself.

AFC Wimbledon has no time whatsoever for with anybody who is connected to MK Dons or sympathises with them.

AFC Charlton should have no time whatsoever for Roland Duchatelet, or anybody who sympathises with him.

I hope I am wrong but it seems to be very clear why Dushitelet struggled to agree deals with groups interested in buying Charlton, they wanted to own the land as well.

You Elfs. You always said Roland was going to split the Club from the Valley. That when a take-over happened CAFC would be broken up.
And other fans lined up to rubbish your warning.

    Now look where we are.
You had his measure right from the start.

A broken clock is correct twice a day, I hope me being out in the lead on the homeward straight sees me get overtaken at the post.

Sorry for straying off the non-league travels topic.

The hour is late and I'm in a bad mood. Would probably be better off drunk, but I'm going to bed instead.
Goodnight all. Sleep well chaps <ok> :emoticon-0113-sleep

This Northern Premier League 1st division, North West match finished Workington 4 Clitheroe 1.

We had wanted to do this ground quite badly, this is the same ground Workington played on as a league side before being replaced by Wimbledon in 1974. As you'll see from the pictures, the ground has been very much untouched since.

This weekend was one of the 3 which were suffering from horrific storms so we were happy we had the get out option of going to AFC Darwen, they play on a 3G pitch so we were always going to get a game in. Fortunately the Clitheroe secretary kept me informed of the 2 pitch inspections in the morning so by 10.15 it was confirmed the game was on, very convenient as we knew 15 minutes before Preston where we would have had to get off for Darwen.

A rather bleak town, one I hope not to have to travel back to with Charlton! It would appear that Johnnie Jackson has gone into the pub game..................
