Dave Gilmour pays tribute to Prince in one version of Comfortably Numb that is on You Tube ... must have been soon after Prince's death ... he morphs into the Purple Rain melody during the numb guitar solo ... splendid accolade and respect for a fellow master of the six strings, never get tired of watching it
Depends if you like guitars I guess ... Another Prince master class was when he joined the Travelling Wilburys in their George Harrison tribute, While My Guitar Gently Weeps (my personal favourite Beatles song) ... all improvisation ... turned up on the day and smashed an amazing solo ... the look on George Harrison's son's face tells you everything .. he was in awe
I really like this. I appreciate that it’s an acquired taste. Best listened to when you’re under the influence.
