I’d probably include a Tracy Chapman song. Talking About A Revolution.

I know what you’re referring to and it’s great. I don’t tend to like his music or voice though.

I wouldn't know where to start, and it would probably be pointless anyway, as most would never have heard off them..

Think the only one that may scrape in, and if fairly recentish

I could add another 50 or 60 to that list
Walker Brothers and Hendrix difficult to pick one
    Same with Bob Marley

Dave Gilmour pays tribute to Prince in one version of Comfortably Numb that is on You Tube ... must have been soon after Prince's death ... he morphs into the Purple Rain melody during the numb guitar solo ... splendid accolade and respect for a fellow master of the six strings, never get tired of watching it <ok>

Depends if you like guitars I guess ...

Another Prince master class was when he joined the Travelling Wilburys in their George Harrison tribute, While My Guitar Gently Weeps (my personal favourite Beatles song) ... all improvisation ... turned up on the day and smashed an amazing solo ... the look on George Harrison's son's face tells you everything .. he was in awe

I really like this. I appreciate that it’s an acquired taste. Best listened to when you’re under the influence.

I love it. Can’t find anything else he’s done that’s comparable.
