I quite liked your choices so I won't slag them off. But he is definitely better than Noddy ****ing Holder!! We're lucky that this forum has Jimmy to bring corny jokes a touch of culture and class.
Go on then, who is he. I've a bit time at the moment to listen to something new. Where's best to start.
He's the lead singer of Disturbed. I appreciate that metal (ish) music isn't everyone's cup of tea though, so here he is performing Sound of Silence live. I prefer the polished album version for the full throat rasping effect, but the live version shows him singing note perfect through almost 4 octaves.... As well as all their own music they have also done some great covers, including one of Genesis' Land of Confusion
Maybe not the best song to start off with - I prefer the souped up Dickies version. Reading up on them, so I'll give 'The Sickness' a go.
It's very different to anything else they do but just an example of his vocal range. It's surprising how many metal vocalists actually have amazing singing voices too. Corey Taylor of Slipknot is another one.
It's amazing how wrong forum impressions can be of people. I would have had you down as a Nat King Cole or Sinatra fan rather than Disturbed I'm impressed
It's been a while, but, may be time for a Metal thread on the Music Forum... Just had a quick look and found another of my active accounts
We could also have a guilty pleasures music thread - the tunes/bands you would never admit to liking but secretly indulge in. I have loads of those!!
I've given up trying to work them all out. I used to know who a few were but forgot after taking a break away from the place. The worst part was I have only ever had one account and then when I reappeared on the Prem forum I got accused of being someone's sock account!
Love Nat King Cole and Sinatra Nev, however these boys are worth a listen. In my humble opinion the best British blues band alongside Peter Green.
I've four, but, this is the only account I've used since my break. The others were used sparsely in any case.
No. But Wiki have him as 42nd of Metal Vocalists never mind all Vocalists. Draiman was voted number 42 on the Hit Parader's "Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time". Not exactly a ringing endorsement.
