We are where we are, I'm afraid, years of under investment and buying cheap China crap for years has left us and half the world at their mercy. The world being scared to put China in isolation in Jan has caused the problem.

Indeed, the ship continued with the cruise devoid of passengers. It was a decision made by all cruise lines worldwide, as I understand it. My major upset was about NCL's handling of our disembarkation, if you recall. Or perhaps you prefer not to.

For someone who comes from Scotland you seem to know absolutely nothing about the place. You don't know when Scotland went into lockdown or shut schools, how embarrassing for a scot.
Genuine question. How the hell, in a country of 60m can there be a shortage of ppe equipment and clothing. Can nobody stitch together the basic looking surgical garments or manufacture the Perspex face masks. Surely some of the thousands of factories closed could diversify into making this stuff. Yes that's correct I do keep in touch with the happenings in New Zealand. And a country who's border is less than 2 hrs away from you, could well affect your life,or do you think you're the only scot ever traveled to where you live.

So if I interpret this tosh correctly, you're saying that I should take an interest in Scotland as it's less than 2 hours away? It's only 2 hours away from you too. So's Wales, N.Ireland, Eire, Isle of Man etc. Do you keep on top of all of them too? FFS!
