    "la forma del agua"

Is well worth a watch if you can get it dubbed in English.

Not a film, nor a TV show, nor a book - just some relaxing music. Nearly two hours long, this is apparently what the conoravirus sounds like...

watched Franz last night, a gentle French/German film on how the WW1 affected individuals in two families
Currently online playing Kingdomino with pals on Boardgame arena. New game to me so I should be paying more attention than typing this but for some reason I have the highest score a the mo.

The Men Who Stare at Goats....
If you like surreal black comedy like Catch 22 then this could be for you: Jeff Bridges, Kevin Spacey, George Clooney and Ewan MacGregor. "More of this is true than you would believe"... I watched with open mouth when I wasn't laughing out loud.... and then the interviews with retired soldiers who actually did this... insane.

Just finished Star Trek Picard on Amazon - excellent series, I hope there is a follow up especially as 7of9 :emoticon-0152-heart and Deanna Troy <hug> played a part in some episodes.
    Live long and prosper all.

I’ve got such a long way to go, scully! I like Star Trek, but apart from the original series when I was a kid, I’ve only seen odds and sods. So I started watching it from the beginning a while ago! I’m nearly through the first original series. They are more mixed than I remember, and I’m not too keen on their self-conscious whimsy that seems to take hold every now and then. They are ‘Dad Only’ unfortunately, as no one else is interested in watching them. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Marina Sirtis is ‘all woman’, no doubt about that. Not keen on her tats, though.

We're big, Big, BIG, Trekkies in this house. Mrs Fez is almost encyclopaedic with her knowledge of the storylines, the overarching between series, the characters backgrounds, the actor's themselves. My first Xmas present to her was a portrait of Picard and Riker from the picture framing shop just along from The Vic.
We also went to the big exhibition/convention at Hyde Park best part of 20 years ago but not the recent one. And the line in the sand is well before cos play or whatever: ever seen a fat Star Fleet officer? Nope, me neither.
I watched DS9 in one hit recovering from an op: 7 series, 176 episodes at 40+ minutes each. Recommend it especially as it ties in some TNG stories with O'Brien (Colm Meaney) Worf and others all playing their parts over both. Some very familiar British tv character actors get juicy bad guy parts (notably David Warner who appeared in two of the cinema films as well) and the big story arch involves the seemingly benevolent Louise Fletcher (Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest) and her rise as figurehead of the Bajoran religious sect...
We watch the reruns on the Horror Channel despite having the box sets. Just have the recent addition to the ST genre to watch: Discovery.
Did I say we're mad for it? :emoticon-0147-emo:<whistle><yikes><laugh><cheers>

Excellent. I aim to do all the TV series and films and TV spinoffs eventually in time...
Obviously original series first. Then Next Gen, I suppose? Should I interweave the films with the TV series and if so which ones where? I’ve been assuming there was a website to tell me the order, or... experts who might help... ? <whistle>

Do some research and watch them in order of broadcast: TNG, DS9 and Voyager overlap and you'll miss or "not get" characters.
ToS and Enterprise "stand alone". Discovery comes after. Picard is pretty much stand alone except for 7of9 and Hugh in particular, each great characters and central.
