Everton game next Saturday is going to be a very high tempo game,from box to box.Because Liverpool lost two games already we need all the points. Gerard is not one hundred percent fit, so this game is not good for him to start. If Gerard is to start, who should give way.? Adam or Lucas.? Your opinion.
I think it will be: Henderson--Adam--Lucas--Downing -------------Carroll--Suarez--------- or --Henderson--Lucas--Adam-- --Saurez--Caroll--Downing-- Replace Adam for Gerrard if he were to start, he did look sharp yesterday.
Agreed. Thats a versatile formation that can change itself into other formations it can be 4-5-1, 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 and 4-4-2.
Can anyone see Kenny dropping Carroll for this game after his performance yesterday? I think he will easily bully Distin and Jagielka. One positive is that the Everton defence haven't met Saurez yet.
After yesterdays performance, there is a big chance Kenny will play Andy Carroll against the bitters.
gerrard will step things up in the next two weeks but he is not going to start! the team is fairly obvious at this point. the only question is will johnson force his way in or not.
I don't think so, not straight away anyway. It will be interesting to see the team when Gerrard is back in the starting 11. It's at the expense of either Hendo or Adam, If Gerrard and Adam are in the same midfield I would hope that Gerrard is the one sitting deep allowing Adam to provide creativity in the final 3rd rather than hacking legs off outside our penalty area.
if kenny doesnt learn the lesson from the spurs match that we should be playing 3 in middle away then he never will. i´d go with lucas and spearing holding leaving charlie adam to dictate from the centre. downing on the right to keep baines occupied and bellamy on the left, kuyt behind suarez to do what they do up top. simples.
Gerrard should only start if he's 100% for the physicality of the game. Everton will go out to disrupt our pass and move style. Also, if Gerrard comes on at half time or in the second half he will lift the team and have the 'super sub' effect. I'd like to see Bellamy play however, he'd be chomping at the bit to do damage.

I agree. If Bellamy is anything, he's a pain in the arse for the opposition. He always at it, physically and vocally, and so this is his sort of game. He'll have had a long rest (not that he needs one) and will be totally fresh for this.

guys... hate to say this as offering opinion is fine BUT honestly if the question is will gerrard start rather than who do you want to start... well the answer is not everyones favoured formation, payer etc... the ONLY answer is what will kenny do. For me it is getting very obvious that a) kenny will pick adam and henderson b) gerrard will be o nthe bench c) the back 4 will include carra and skertl with only kelly v johnson being the question d) bellamy WILL be benched. look at the evidence. gerrard's only gotten a few mins this week in each game. bellamy didn't even come on v wolves. spearing is nowhere but the bench, Kenny has a clear idea of his first teamers thats for sure!
agree on most parts although it is a forum so we might as well put our opinions out there. The other one im not sure about in terms of the Kennys starting line up is Caroll or Kuyt, but i think we'll see Carolls against everton. I think when Gerrard comes back in it will be at Adams expense, otherwise Henderson, but wont start for another 2/3 games, but coming on in the second half.
If it were me, Henderson shouldn't play from the start. He offered absolutely nothing yesterday. I do think Kenny should go with a midfield trio with Kuyt and Downing flanking Suarez. Heres mine. Suarez Downing Kuyt. Maxi Lucas Gerrard.
hend.. i agree its a forum, everyone's opinion is fine. i merely point out most of the comments don't answer the question posed. will gerrard start? no as kenny is bring him in gradually. when gerrard does start it will not be for adam. the first game of the year played: reina flanagan carra agger enrique lucas adam henderson suarez downing carroll I think that if you substitute in johnson and gerrard for flanagan and henderson you get to kennys first 11. thats how i read kenny's actions thus far this year and project them forward kuyt looks to be benched. bellamy has not got a starting berth at all.... and if anyone it's carroll who will be dropped and henderson who will stay i nthe team.
