Too many skeletons in my closet and not enough pay for that. Doesn’t sound like a bad gig though.

You wouldn't be any good Watford, as you don't lie enough. Maybe you should stand against wing commander nonce in Brackers?

Not heard anything from him locally but then I don’t take a lot of notice of the local news. Judging by this he’s a predictably enormous ****.

8 in 10 COVID 19 patients who have ended up on ventilators in New York have died. They are filling mass graves on Hart Island.

Vallance, in addition to his throwaway comment on expecting deaths to rise on a daily basis for the next two weeks, also said (or it may have been Whitty) that they think less than 10% of the population have had the virus to date - including those with no symptoms. If we have had 8000 deaths on less than 10% infection, and it takes 60% to achieve some kind of herd immunity (they think) could we be looking at nearly 50000 deaths over many months as we stay in lockdown to stop the NHS being overwhelmed, thereby dragging the whole thing on?

Once again I am hoping I’ve made a basic error in understanding somewhere.

This is just heartbreaking, no human being should ever end their days like this...

If only 10% have had it, we need to get cracking. Wanna come to a barbecue?

Yeah, I picked up on that too.

I'm hoping we can keep deaths to between 35,000-40,000, but even that's a terrifying figure.

He also reiterated less than 20k deaths would be a relatively good result.
I don't see anything wrong with sbs maths but hopefully a vaccine or treatment will come along to limit deaths.

I have got assume and hope that the error is in the ..think tthat less than 10% of the population has had it.

At the moment they only have the antigen or viral test. That will only tell you who has it now. So if you had it mildly a few weeks ago, it will not show up.
So they have actually no idea who has had it (again I am assuming all the people who have had the viral test had it for a reason....symptoms, contact with some who had, front line NHS). So many many people who did not show "enough" symptoms can not be assessed

So many of the people who spread it, who were completely, or nearly completely symptomatic...and all those people like 999s, who are self isolating without a test are not known...so perhaps the numbers are in fact very wrong.... If 50-60% of the London population has seen the virus already , we are beginning to get toward a herd immunity number, and the second wave will be much smaller than the first. If the figure is closer to 10% of Londoners, then the second wave will be as big as the first

Well that is the theory I hope for, otherwise the figure will be 70,000 deaths

No. We don't live in a police state. Well only sometimes. Actually can I pass and exercise my right to silence?

I really think we could end up being the worst hit European country by a long chalk. (I hope I'm wrong). There will be some massive questions to be answered if so.
