After spending a few posts stating my case as to why I don't think Wegner's is still a good manager, I began to wonder how many other football myths are out there.

There's Kevin Keegan was a great manager myth, when he actually only won Division One with Newcastle.

Ryan Giggs could have played for England myth, he couldn't as he was born in Wales, has Welsh parents and was never eligible for the England team. He did however play for England youth at school boy level, which anyone can, as long as they attend a school in the country the are playing for.

Billy Bremner ****ting in the bed of a Scotland players hotel bed, has been going around for some time and is completely made up.

Michael Owen was actually Welsh myth. No he wasn't, he was born in Chester

A former Leeds striker's wife was caught having it off with another Leeds player in the dressing room, this then lead to the player being sold to our biggest rival myth. As stated by Wilko, and both players, this is complete bollox.

    Any others...not Wegner related! :emoticon-0100-smile

Farsley, I'm an old man (so are you judging by your profile), who's had a bottle of red wine and a very very hot chilli, I'm not in the mood for making my brain work (especially on a Saturday night), so please give me the idiots guide to replies...

Well quite, but to be fair I think this is total myth, so that Leeds fans have an excuse for Cantona going to Man Utd.

What facts, you mean do I have photo evidence to prove the players wife was actually in London at the time of the so called sexual encouter! I'm going by something I remember the players saying and Wilko confirming.

Sold urgently and a deal agreed within 24 hours for £1.2 million when he was worth several times that spring to mind.

Don't want to get stuck on Cantona again, but from what I remember, Cantona told Wilko a few weeks earlier that he didn't want to play for Leeds again and then Ferguson asked about Cantona and a deal was struck. I think this was backed by Wilko on a documentary or a book I read.

Ferguson was meant to have enquired about Chapmans availability and was told no but you can have Cantona for 1.2 million from what I read.... Not that I really care anyway, enough poor sales after that one to make it a pointless debate ;)

    Pedantic alert......

If he had not turned out for Wales, then Giggs could have played for England but not until 2009 when the rules changed!!!!

I feel like I'm the butt of a joke here -_- I normally don't get out of shape about spelling or grammar but for some reason reading that incorrect spelling of Wenger made my eyes hurt. Could be that Wegner's is a disease of some sort. Not sure what it is but it was a theory on House so it can't be good.
