Stay at home, stay off the internet, and stop telling everyone else what you think they should be doing.

Is there a clearer message that needs to be sent? Stay off social media and help the NHS - the same NHS the Tories have been carving up to flog off for the last 10 years.

yes but that was a hotspot and wouldn't be surprised if in hotspots in England similar hasn't either happened or is a contingency but
a) Sunderland isn't a hotspot
b) it claims the same set up is happening at every hospital which is palpably untrue.

As you can all see, and that's not the first place I've seen mentioned reaping the benefits of this lockdown. So what are we going to do as a world once this lockdown is over, return to normal, or maybe insist one month every year, we do the same again, to aid our planet the breathing space it needs. If we can achieve recovery in a matter of weeks, imagine what we could achieve if we did it every year....but it needs doing as we have done now, without excuses.

the rest of the team are bang average. Nothing particularly better in any other positions than anyone else.

 

To be fair to custard, every authority is required under the coronavirus act 2020 to provide extra storage etc of bodies. We are in the process of turning an old warehouse into a temporary mortuary in Hull.
It’s pretty grim on face value, but better to have the storage there and hopefully never needing it.

 

I’m hoping someone launches an international campaign to try to persuade world leaders to try something like this; once a year, in the spring (okay, autumn in the Southern Hemisphere), just switch everything off for a month or two, and Lee the planet breath.

And we could all try buying less stuff. For example, I have about a dozen jackets indoors, I only need 2 really.

 

Update on the situation. Aldo and Ahmed have came to an understanding. Aldo will be charged pre-the world has went to **** prices in acknowledgment of his long and loyal patronage of the Spar in question. I threatened to take my custom elsewhere and Ahmed caved tbh. Seemingly my alcohol intake is putting his three kids through university.

In times like these the community must work together for the common good.

P.S. the big roll prices have remained largely unaffected.
