Oi we were first. We are finally going to win something. I knew having Mike Ashley in charge would finally bring us some recognition.
The fact you took that comment seriously makes you A) In a complete rage, and B) Even more gay. I’ve got to be honest I didn’t even think you could get more gay.
Clubs at the top, it’s a business and they have no morals..... oh, what’s that happening at United, City, Everton. yeah, doing what’s right before even considering anything else. May well be a way to make money, but still has a sense of community.
maybe he was the one giving Liverpool advice? That’s shocking, I had some respect for t he player and man, less so now. Doin gun a full Astro trying to justify. Is he on the patrol in the hospitality/tours?
No idea tbh mate. His comments were extremely ill judged and smacked of ‘defend at any cost’. Shame, as Barnes sometimes has a decent take on things, but he called this one plain wrong.
He defended the clubs actions and was scattergun at best. Went against the other ex players and people associated to the club who straight out knew it wasn't good PR.
Pressure on Spurs to reverse their despicable furlough decision - will others also reverse like Liverpool
Levy could just ask Mourinho to take a 30% wage reduction for 3 weeks, that’s should cover 500 non playing staff for 3 months.
Bet Spurs wont be congratulated like Liverpool in the media for their supportive actions in the community after proposing to use 100% of the money on offer from the tax payers.
They’ll pitch themselves as pioneers. The first club to decide NOT to furlough their staff. Heroic really.
If the average wage for all 550 staff that spurs have furloughed was £30,000 per year it would cost us £4.125m to pay them their full wages for 3 months. If spurs are so skint that they couldn't pay less than £4.2m then Levy has run the club appallingly. ****s are not getting another penny from me and mine until this is rectified. And if it aint then I will not go to games or be a member until Levy ****s off. Me, both my daughters and 2 other family members (I use these for mates) are members...that is £200 a year total. Then I have been to: 2 fa cup games with my girls and mates 3 CL games with my girls and mates 7 league games with 1 daughter and a mate We do this most seasons...often going to more games... Last season we only missed 2 home games all season. It'll be a real gutting decision but there is no way I can support this ****y decision in any circumstances but especially while my eldest and her partner (who she lives with) have both lost 20% of their money from their employer. To suggest that paying £8.25m over 6 months would bankrupt us is beyond a joke. However, we have gone one worse and are refusing to pay the missing 20%. So we now have a situation that the Government would be paying £6.6m (if it went on for 6 months) ... this mean tax payers are giving the 8th richest club in the world £6.6m! As if that aint bad enough the club are refusing to make up the remaining 20% in order to save just £1.65m (if it lasted 6 months). For the club to suggest that they (the 8th richest in world football) can not afford £1.65m over a 6 month period is to treat us like idiots.
