I walk (in the normal days) between 13000 and 15000 steps per day 6-7 miles.
I walk before work, at lunch time and after work. It is really good for my physicsl and mental health.
With following the rules I am down to between 9-11000 per day on average...
4-5 miles.
I am honestly worried sbout not being able to go out for a walk...it is my escape...I do not drink or smoke or take drugs and so walking is my relaxation and escape.

Instead of locking up those of us following the rules they should just taser the selfish ****s who ain't. Leave them rolling around in their own piss and **** puddles while they shake it out and then give them a fixed penslty noticd to cover the cost of the wages of the person doing the tasering and the electricity used.
Oh and then fine them for pissing snd ****ting themselves in public.

....

And that folks is why I am not fit to be given any kind of power in society!
I tend to agree. The rules are very simple. No one is asking Joe Public to go and fight for their country. They’re literally being asked to watch telly. If that’s too difficult or restrictive then stick them in a Corona cage.

It's no hardship. But some people insist on doing what they want - even when they don't really want to do it.
This is the modern trend of self worth through self entitlement, self importance and self aggrandisement.
It's generally associated with a lack of intelligence and lack of self awareness.
These people think Manx cats are from Manchester.

My lollie came out of ICU today, was rushed into hospital 4am Sunday, she was on oxygen and IV fluids and antibiotics. I have already said no ventilator or resuscitation, it would be pointless if her heart stops through lungs full of ****. Had the last 72 hours from hell, never seen her so poorly, the biggest breath was like a sniff and then a 3/4 second delay till the next. The thing is, neither me, my daughter or the 2 carers we employ are showing zero signs of owt, I have massive angina pain but **** all else. Lollie has had this flu like problem for 9 days now, I put her on antibiotics after day 1 to protect her chest so that has probably saved the day. Can sleep sounder tonight though, York hospital are doing zoom calls so you can talk with your loved ones, just want her home, the IV drips are off now and she doesn't need oxygen no more. She has to have a Covid 19 test again in the morning and if it's negative she should be home on Wednesday. Don't ever let anyone say this **** isn't a real deal, I cried my ****ing eyes out yesterday morning thinking I was losing the lass and the way she was going to go after fighting her Cerebral Palsy condition from birth. She is truly one in a million and an inspiration to all..

Take care lads and dodge the bullet..

Sorry to hear this Joe

One thing after the other it seems

God strength brother

I'll try to give some insight into behaviour in my locality...

It's a 5 minute drive through suberbia to my (very) elderly parents house. Normally the pavements would be deserted, but now there seems to be some sort of Himalayan expedition in the offing. Couples bedecked with rucksacks and hiking boots striking out into the great unknown of miscallaneous avenue followed by multifarious parade.

Just stay home and help save lives.

Hi JoE, just a quick word.

Your Lollie sounds like a real fighter mate, from birth right up to now so when things get better and you get your OP you need to remember this and fight for her.
She has just gone through something we can't help with, you are going to face something that is to doctors "routine" (dead easy for me to say never having faced it<laugh>)
Lollie is now there for you, make sure you are there for her after the OP, it's the least you can do.

All the best fella, my thoughts are with you and the rest of the forum family.

I really could have gone into a rant over the last 3 weeks, where people have chosen to ignore the government's guidance or push the boundaries, but I have so far resisted that temptation to do so.

The main reason for that is because I've always remained private and guarded about circumstances of my own. To put things in perspective, my kid messaged me tonight, as it brought back memories of our experience of St Thomas' and a lost loved one. But Stan sums it up tonight quite simply, no rant was needed;

'They’re literally being asked to watch telly.'

To me that hits the nail firmly on the head, seriously it's not a big ask, stop trying to push the rules, the government guidance is clear, STAY AT HOME! YOU are not an exception, stop questioning and say but this, but that, just do as your fooking told.

I live opposite a corner shop, it's an eye opener how many people walk up the street in groups to go to that shop (not related just mates), he only lets two people at a time in but they still stand around outside laughing and joking in groups.

We're all standing outside our local supermarket...4/5 metres apart, one in one out and no couples.

However, once inside human (female) nature takes over and people just can't resist stopping for a chat or shopping alongside a friend. Then at the checkout you feel their breath on your neck but say nothing as you don't wish to appear scared or over sensitive...

And then your friends or family die and maybe you'll not be so polite next time.

Gotta be honest and say my local Morrisons have this sorted, you don't get to go and start unpacking until the person in front is paying. I have found shopping quite a nice experience lately

You are right about the stopping for a chat inside though, i find it's mostly women and stoners that are the main culprits.

Centuries of superiority, followed by centuries of a superiority complex don't point to Brits being compliant and subservient to anything.
Even thick Brits believe in their natural superiority over anyone and anything.

We as a nation are ****ing stupid....

We've been let off lightly so far in the NE.. That could change...

I don't get which part of 'there's hundred dying each day, stay safe' they don't understand

I go on my own scan and shop, with my own bags, in and out as fast as possible.
