I think his condition is worse than we are being told. I thought that when I heard he’d gone to hospital. I know they will take all precautions because he’s PM but he can get the best medical care in the world at home. Taking him to hospital was a clear sign that this **** is real for him.
This ^

He’d have already have been receiving the best medical care possible at his No.11 flat. The minute they decided he needed hospitalisation meant he was severely unwell and they were extremely concerned for him. Now he’s in ICU it’s obvious he’s in a bad way.

Raab has admitted he’s not spoken to him since Saturday, but the press release was saying Johnson had himself asked Raab to take over duties temporarily today. They’re playing it down and have been for days.

Does anyone know if Boris is receiving oxygen through the nose or whether he has been sedated with an oxygen tube down his neck?

I read on Time magazine: "The Prime Minister is reportedly conscious and the decision was taken as a precaution in case he needs ventilation."

He received oxygen treatment yesterday when he arrived, but right now he doesn't seem to be actually hooked up to the ventilator.

It looked pretty obvious last time he was on tele, looked like he was having a bad, bad time.

Not sure what the recovery rate is like once admitted to ICU but I’d imagine that’s what everybody wants to know now.
For coronavirus, the ICU survival rate is about 60/40 against.

Awake and not ventilated yet.
The crunch comes if he needs ventilator.

Beth just confirmed on SKY, Boris has received oxygen, but is not on a ventilator, that is some sense of relief.

Yeah, still think people are jumping the gun a bit here, as people are pointing out he's the PM. While that could mean that he is seriously sick and we should panic, it could equally mean that they placed him in ICU because they view him as a top priority. So far, normal folk placed in ICU are done so because they NEED ventilation, while for the PM its a precaution so he has a ventilator next to him.

I wouldn't stress lads.,. He be up eating a full English by Friday.

Poking aside I wish no ill on the fella I hope he comes out it humbled and with empathy for this nation and its most precious asset...... Fk the queen and all that rubbish(pantomime ****) ...... The NHS is real and is needed before during and long after this fades into a distant memory.

Not every patient in intensive care is ventilated but about 2/3rds are within 24 hours.

It’s not all about the ventilation though, it’s about the immune system going haywire and attacking your vital organs, they administer drugs that can counteract your immune system, and they’ll be monitoring every vital sign using the ICU machinery. He won’t be in ICU without need.

Yeah, true.

My lollie came out of ICU today, was rushed into hospital 4am Sunday, she was on oxygen and IV fluids and antibiotics. I have already said no ventilator or resuscitation, it would be pointless if her heart stops through lungs full of ****. Had the last 72 hours from hell, never seen her so poorly, the biggest breath was like a sniff and then a 3/4 second delay till the next. The thing is, neither me, my daughter or the 2 carers we employ are showing zero signs of owt, I have massive angina pain but **** all else. Lollie has had this flu like problem for 9 days now, I put her on antibiotics after day 1 to protect her chest so that has probably saved the day. Can sleep sounder tonight though, York hospital are doing zoom calls so you can talk with your loved ones, just want her home, the IV drips are off now and she doesn't need oxygen no more. She has to have a Covid 19 test again in the morning and if it's negative she should be home on Wednesday. Don't ever let anyone say this **** isn't a real deal, I cried my ****ing eyes out yesterday morning thinking I was losing the lass and the way she was going to go after fighting her Cerebral Palsy condition from birth. She is truly one in a million and an inspiration to all..

Take care lads and dodge the bullet..
