I like Crouch but agree with those that feel 10m was way over the top for him. My prediction is that he won't get double figures in the league for Stoke this year. I'm not saying Bendtner definitely will but I think Bendy on a years loan with no fee is a better deal than saying goodbye to 10m for a player of Crouchs age.
All i said was that Crouch is a good player and despite hios poor game (all strikers have them) the fact is that he has more goals in his 2 games for Stoke than ANY of our strikers. £10m would not be a problem if his goals and play up front could have secured a European campaign would it? That would be the best £10m advertising campaign for the club possible. Would anyone pay £10m for Nickolas Anelka? I would and he is older than Crouch. These players cost a bit up front but their quality drives the club forward. We have staggnated under Bruce and it wont get any better with Sess as a striker long term either. It will probably piss him off too.

Hopefully we can keep the same team for a couple of weeks, however, it would be nice to see Ji coming on as sub a couple of times. If you want Ji in from the start who would you replace?
Totally agree mate. I think Ji looks ready, and i think he looks hungry. Re the topless pool parties, i have me dad here, and he's cultivating a canny pair as the years go by
OK Captain Mainwaring we believe you! I think Ji will eventually get his chance but even he said, when he signed for us, it would take a while before he would be up to scratch. I believe Christmas was mentioned so maybe early next year.
Crouch at this present time is worth nowhere near 10 mill. I would have had him a couple of years ago, but would still be wary of how weak his heading is overall. Yes he scored with a header yesterday but he just doesn't seem to get any power into his headers. I still think he has canny feet for a big lad but I also think age is starting to show.
I'm in the 'Crouch = lucky escape' camp. I don't believe Crouch could have given us watch Bendtner gave us in the game against Stoke. As for Ji, there's some promise there with him but whether he's ready yet is very debatable. In the Stoke game he had a couple of very poor touches. If we can get ourselves into comfortable winning positions often we can give players like Ji and Wickham more and more game time.
