Germany is not the only European exception SH. Judging deaths as a percentage of those registered infected the most successfull is Norway:
Norway 0.97%
Czech Rep. 1.15%
Germany 1.2 %
Austria 1.42%
Portugal 2.31%
Ireland 2.54%
Switzerland 2.82%
Worldwide the most successfull is Israel at 0.45%

Unlike you SH I haven't spent the whole day sat behind a computer screen trying to make out that I am the only person contributing to this thread who knows what they are talking about. No doubt you were stung by all your favourite newspapers coming out today and giving grief to your government when it is obvious to the whole world that we can all see just how useless they are. Another session of Hancocks Half Hour has hardly done anything to improve the facts, just another exercise in trying to improve the image.
I have read through what you have said about other posters, and it is not acceptable. Either you attempt to address the issues that this crisis has thrown up without constantly trying to denigrate others, or you will be placed in isolation again. This time in case you have forgotten it is for 30 days. As I said last time it is your choice. I simply used Putin as an example of all those regimes who deny free speech by hiding comments which are unfortunately too near the truth.

Nigel Farage has been the most successful UK politician in the last 20 years. He has uniquely changed government policy from outside of the government, a very impressive feat.

The UK government is getting a well deserved kicking which will all be forgotten by the public in a few months. Those predicting a change of government are living in a parallel universe.

It has been well documented that countries such as Germany and France introduced a ban on PPE equipment leaving their respective countries. I have just learnt this morning that China also imposed a ban on some lines of PPE equipment. Thankfully other suppliers are now based in Thailand and Cambodia which have so far not followed suit. When this pandemic is over there will be a thorough examination on how much needed supplies can be maintained to a sufficient level.

The French health service is far more entwined in private providers than the UK, this is often conveniently overlooked. There are stringent open and transparent procedures in place for the NHS to source the best and most effective equipment available. Governments don't have the knowledge to design, train and supply medical devices.

Each day in France a daily newscast is made by the Chief Medical Officer. All rather matter of fact and no trying to cover up the problems that the country faces. Compared with the UK it might seem a tad boring, but at least people are not being deliberately misled.
