Yesterday i heard that WHO were going have a re think of masks and review not only the distance of 'distancing' but how long these droplets stay in the air. I have read a few disturbing papers on this.
Who did they chuck out that was any good? And before you come up with a few names from the media you better know about them because I certainly will.
Sorry I forgot you were an expert on all of this. I quite liked Grieve. Seems an intelligent and empathetic guy. Hammond had been Chancellor. Letwin too I think.
Not an expert but as a Tory member and someone who follows the party, have attended meetings/had discussions with MP's/was invited to the House of Commons/Invited to dinner and speech with May I have a good idea of who is who and what they are about. Sadly you fail on this mate because you need to do a quick check on what bills those mentioned voted on... the same bills that you have been moaning about. The government has made mistakes but this is unprecedented. Rather than keep knocking them on a daily basis why don't you wait until all the correct information is in and then we can all contribute or better still, you have been very vocal about how they are handling this... how about telling us what we should be doing as you seem to be an expert. Grieve Don't get me started on Olly.
Yes i did. I thought she would be tough a PM but on Brexit she fluffed about. Probably because of the numbers and because she tried to make everyone happy. I got annoyed with her at the end because she didn't know when to give up. She has my respect for continuing as an MP and has always acted exemplary.
Update from here...…. https://www.msn.com/en-ie/news/news...pril-12-deputy-pm/ar-BB124nZI?ocid=spartanntp https://www.msn.com/en-ie/news/coro...id-19-test-delays/ar-BB123sGR?ocid=spartanntp Upshot is that we're likely to be in lock down beyond the original Easter Sunday date and that there is a global shortage of testing kits and delays in getting test results are inevitable...….
I don’t really care if my politics align with theirs or not. They’re Tories after all. My point was that if you throw out experience and retain sycophants you don’t get a strong Cabinet so there’s fewer contenders now for the main job than probably ever before. Certainly less breadth of experience and views. Most of what could and should have been done is too late to reverse now. They sat on and seemingly ignored the information they had showing how susceptible we were to a pandemic even versus other comparable countries. They ran the health service down to the point it was at and above capacity in a normal flu season. More recently they’ve lost valuable time first intentionally doing nothing and then when faced with the gravity of that decision missing their own soft targets on testing and putting every health professional at risk with a lack of equipment and pulling people out of the frontline due to a lack of organisation on testing. Tens of thousands of healthy people who could be saving lives can’t because someone they live with is ill. There’s not much I can do personally apart from shop for the old bloke upstairs and do a bit of volunteering. If you don’t like people questioning an underperforming government, maybe move to North Korea.
So basically, you have no answer... Easy to criticise after the fact. Your original post was about Boris stepping down and putting an adult in charge... I asked you who? and you mentioned the likes of Letwin. Here is an article from one of your papers regarding Letwin's credentials. Read the NHS bit! Oliver Letwin: a career in gaffes https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/dec/30/oliver-letwin-a-career-in-gaffes Amazingly I have to agree with this Woke paper. I could have gone further. The bloke is a muppet. As for deaths caused... no-one knows yet and the post-mortem will come after. I'm sure whatever the result in your eyes it will be the governments fault. Oliver Letwin ... Actually
6.6 million claiming unemployment benefit in the USA, topping the 5 million worst case estimate. Trump look shaky for re-election now...
Leo Varadkar blamed coronavirus test delays on a global shortage of kit and chemicals yesterday. He is wrong it's the tories! Macron is also wrong! On a serious note I see this lockdown getting extended as well. My sister was told yesterday from her work they were looking at June for things to start moving again.
Apparently NHS workers turning up for drive-in tests and being turned away as they don't have appointments, getting farcical now...
I'm just annoyed at the government full stop. Couldn't give a **** if they were blue, red, yellow or green. Party politics should go out of the window. Nobody will EVER know if another party would have or even could have acted differently. In all fairness to Ellers, he has criticised the government on numerous occasions on this thread.
569 died yesterday...compared from 563 on Wednesday. At least it hasn't essentially doubled like the two days before that, a total of nearly 3000 people though So terribly sad
Mate you’re part of a smaller and smaller minority every day. This isn’t about Tory-bashing as others have said. Right wingers are being openly critical of Boris et al as they’ve handled this dreadfully. Of course I don’t personally have every answer. Like all of us though I can look at the countries that were dealt just as bad a hand as us and made the right calls (or just any call) early enough to reduce the pain and question why one of the world’s richest countries with the advantage of a bit more time than other countries hasn’t been as successful at combatting this as it could have been.
And I still will mate. That none answering muppet they used as a spokesmen yesterday was hopeless. Gove dodge questions on Sunday and I think its scandalous that NHS staff haven't all got PPE. I alway want a strong opposition and I have been very vocal of the government in the past. For now I just think it's too soon to criticise as things are changing rapidly.
