'This is nt about whether you support.. Whether you love him or loathe him this is whether you consider scientific advice or political expediency'

    Excellent documentary...
The denial of science by politicians, and the muzzling of those who seek to present the scientific facts.
Thank you for this. Well worth 25 minutes of my time...

    Yes, it was. <ok>

    “Scientific advice vs. Political expediency”

When you compare the responses of South Korean government with those particularly of the US and UK, it is quickly apparent which one wins at the crucial early stages of a pandemic.

The UK voted for Brexit, we have left the EU. The Tories just won an election with a massive landslide. You criticise Boris, his popularity has never been higher.
Some people, including you, always seem to be on the losing side.

If you re-read your posts you will find it is you that is dragging the thread offline. Why do you think my membership of the Conservative party has anything to do with coronavirus?

    They are the facts:
    Brexit - done
    election - massive Tory majority
Boris - more popular than ever
Momentum - down the drain with Corbyn

    Can you see the pattern?

    Yes.. YOU
Off task and parroting glib aphorisms.. Just like BoJo.
Virtually the entire UK media is now saying that the Govt got it wrong by
    Delaying Testing
    Not ordering PPE and ventilators

People are dying and all you can do is indulge in ping ping jibes... Get in the real world..
Your beloved papers that you seek to quote are saying all of the above.. Can you nkt even have some agreement with them.??
As the commentator said in the documentary above which you may find helpful... Which way do you go.. Political expediency and manipulation of the facts and the media OR the Science..??
South Korea got it totally right.. We on all the stats are just fractionally ahead of the US which is heading for melt down.
Both the US and the UK ignored all the reports from their own experts over the past four years.. Because?

    Money...

A sure sign of the times - even their pet paper the Telegraph have turned against the Tories today. This will serve to ramp up the pressure on a government that is already exhibiting signs of cracking up - how much longer can they last?

I’ve just shown you that you were wrong to say ofh was in the “minority”. On both occasions you were in the minority. The fact minority rules is the point I was making. A bit tricky for you, granted, but do your best to understand.

10 years at least. If anybody seriously thinks there is any chance of a change in government in years is in dreamland. I expect the Tories to have at least a 20 year period of domination, there clearly is no sign of any opposition.

A major NHS hospital almost ran out of oxygen for its Covid-19 patients on ventilators because it was treating so many people with the disease who needed help to breathe.

The incident, which occurred at a London teaching hospital last weekend, has prompted NHS bosses to urgently warn all NHS trusts in England to limit the number of people they put on mechanical ventilators and continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines.

More rationing. Just what has the government been doing? Still it appears by comments above that SH still doesn't see that there is a problem. There is no one else that can be held responsible for this major breakdown in supplies other than this government. With the entire media pointing out their failings now, their term in office could run aground very quickly if the public turn nasty. It has happened before, and could happen again.

You post is off topic SH. We all know what you think about the government, but it would be much more interesting if you could tell us what they are doing now to put things right after this major breakdown in governance.

You predicting the government will change is off topic. Deleting posts that you simply disagree with is more suited to Putin's regime.

You really can't read. I didn't predict it would happen, but said that it could. Remember Thatcher and her poll tax riots, or Heath and his three day week?

You have been asked before to keep on topic, not just by me. If you wish to constantly repeat in parrot fashion what you have said before, then yes I will delete it. We are not interested in an election currently, but want to know how the government is going to get out of the mess it is in. I am sure that if you needed oxygen, and I don't wish it on you, would you still be happy to be told that you will have to take your turn? It might not happen to you personally, but others could turn very nasty if they lost their loved ones. So please discuss the issues. Simple really.
