Chris, i wouldn't expect you to 'lick rectum', what i would expect is that you don't generalise all fans , or deliberately make outlandish statements to cause bother. Defending yourself is wholly acceptable, you had no cause to wade in on this article, our club has many exiled supporters who are passionate about the club. We don't want to ban you, as a lot of people find a lot of your posts entertaining, but we are recieving an increased number of complaints, and we will have to go with the majority. Like i say, you could be the 'bigger man' and let this one drop.
i have an opinion mate, i am not going to change an opinion on the basis of who it may offend. forums and boards are designed for banter, opinions and general discussion. so to say someones opinion is wrong is wrong. everyone may have positives and negatives towards each point

I want to try and find out more info before posting what I know.. In the same way you quote your source - (however I would state that Paul the Octopus had a better track record)- you need to let the community state their pov and not slag off fans that have supported the team all their lives and in a majority of different ways

I may be totally wrong - but to be fair I think the ip address is generated from where the ISP is based? So you would see that my ip is manchester based even though I am in Reading... could be wrong, but that is what I have been lead to be believe.. I would be really interested to know either way though
Your ip address is unique to the point where your actual pc/laptop meets your connection, i believe. I won't pretend to be a tech nerd mind, cos i ain't I've emailed my head of IT, he'll clear that one up
i know that on some sites i go on, tpb etc you get bombarded with adverts that say "meet girls from mansfield" so how do they know?

BB - The matter of his ip address is irrelevant. There have been so many times when BC hasn't known things that lads born, bred and LIVING in Sunderland would know, it's plain that BC is a total and utter fake. WHY, would any SAFC supporter deliberately set out to goad others? He's either unhinged and looking for some aggro (there are a few here who would be more than happy to accommodate him) or he wants attention for himself. Let's give him neither and just get rid?
Well, he's under 'final warning', we can't have him alienating other Sunderland fans, so the balls in his court for now. Can i respectfully request that people don't rise to him as well, if avoidable, we don't want to get into a banning culture if it's in any way avoidable.
big_chris, Respect is something you have to earn, it is not a given and that applies to everyone, you are no different in that respect. Coming out with some of your more threatening statements and even abusive statements will not earn you any respect from anyone on here. As you rightly said, this is a forum, a forum for debate and discussions on SAFC related topics, a bit of banter is more than welcome but some of your comments border on being abusive and not very well informed at times, changing your approach doesn't mean you have to lick ass. I suggest you read this carefully and maybe rethink your strategy.
Interesting Dan, I know that a large ISP which is very popular in the north east IS based in the area of his ISP so will give benefit of doubt. That said, my company uses said ISP nd it shows as Newcastle, could be a network thing i guess, as i say, not my department really! **just checked that, and apparently i'm in that London... Ha.
