He is either a massive WUM or a completely thick ****er. The anticipated death rate is somewhere between 0.4% and 1.0% of ALL cases, including those who are asymptomatic. The number of asymptomatic people is somewhere between 25% and 30%, so nowhere near the 85% he picked out of the air. Someone who cannot look for the facts and do basic maths should not be lecturing others to look into the facts and do basic maths.

After the phonecall I have had tonight from the mother of my god-daughter I daren't even directly reply to the ignorant **** because I would say something I would regret and get myself banned.

Most thought it was being overhyped because the Chinese Government lied to its people and to us
Not all the deaths are from the sick and elderly

    7.8 billion people

If 15% got diagnosed with the virus and 0.01% of those then die it would be 117,000 deaths.

Hence. Smalll percentages of big numbers are still big numbers.

Also, the number is likely to be bigger than 117,000 deaths so your numbers are underestimates as that is the figure even if we assume the entire world population get the virus.

He’s after some attention. **** knows what’s missing in his life.

I clocked him as a massive attention seeking **** years ago. I never bought into the jovial WUM character as the first time I noticed he existed and called him out on something he was bullshitting about he completely lost the plot and got very abusive.

It was hilarious when he was doxxed as it confirmed all assumptions about him.

Can you imagine what it will do if it takes hold in war zones in the middle East, the townships in South Africa, the favellas in Brazil and in the densely packed Indian cities ... the death numbers will go through the roof ...

not only that, the NHS has gagged workers from talking about it and are firing anyone who speaks to the media about the lack of equipment (or so the reports are saying)

We have family in SA. The townships are a huge problem as folk are ignoring the lockdown as they either don’t understand it or they can’t afford to stay at home. I fear that they might lock them in and let the herd thing happen. A large percentage of the people in townships have serious underlying health issues. It could be carnage. Very sad.

The first case was reported in a Greek refugee camp today. Whatever you think of immigration and the refugee situation that is something that has the potential to spread like wildfire and cause a hell of a lot of deaths

Got to just hope it doesn't extend to certain areas. In truth we wouldn't know if it did with some of them as they simply will not be recorded. Brazil is a good example of this, their PM is a Covid denier really and to save face there's no way he'd sanction any of the measures other countries are taking and would instead just have the deaths logged as something else. Give it a decade or two before proper stories come into the mainstream in that regard, still expecting that with China tbh.

Iran is a large country and the populace is reasonably spread out. They don’t really have favellas or townships.

I doubt China will ever come clean about the numbers
Wuhan has restarted the markets and lifted all travel restrictions
If there is a second virus it will probably be worse than the first
