Dropped some tins of food round to the old man today, hes in a **** place at the moment, feel for him, had a chat and that, been calling him every day but hes lonley innit being on his own now after his divorce recently.

What can ya do though only time and distractions get you over that kinda thing i suppose. Drinking a lot tho, bit worrying tbh.

DWP might be the main provider of UC however it is a joint enterprise between a number of Govt Depts and LA's plus the interfaces can pick up all sorts but you actually need staff to actually notice it and then action it <whistle>
That's not what I see from where I'm standing.
Most of the noticing is automated and so is most of the actioning.

Mental health is gonna be a big problem for a lot of people while this is ongoing.
Hope your old man is ok

Yes .

Mrs j’s oldest sister was poorly then passed away very suddenly from liver cancer . Totally out of the blue . The husband cannot see his own son . All the things he had , horse racing , the bookies the local cafe and the occasional pint in the local pub have all been taken away . Only immediate family including spouses can attend the funeral .
It’s utter **** . He’s not the only one , but it doesn’t make it any easier . At least Mrs j has me , he has nobody That he can see regularly . Mrs j is going to see him tomorrow afternoon to do a call with the bloke who will conduct the service .
Won’t even see him until the funeral !
