My daughter's business is valiantly working around the clock to deliver millions of pieces of PPE equipment each week. She is perfectly entitled to protect her family by providing a tiny percentage of her stock. This is normal rational behaviour, are you suggesting you would do otherwise in the circumstances?

Of course there will be allsorts of dodgy deals doing the rounds, but when the government is clearly seen to be lying it simply is not good enough.

You are entitled to your opinion, most people are backing the government in its unenviable task of getting us through this.

It’s free of coronavirus as it is from the 1950s.

Really? You believe that telling lies to cover up your failings is acceptable do you? Perhaps you would like to expand on that view.

I believe folk should behave responsibly and not make blatant political capital out of the situation.

You can tell when they are lying - their lips move.

Do ‘folk’ include the government? And would ‘behaving responsibly’ include not lying?

This is the only government you will have for a very long time. You should spend your time looking for positives not negatives.

Matt Hancock even said on BBC Question Time two weeks ago that "yes, we engaged with that process today. We're not clear how many ventilators we'd get through that process so frankly we're just getting on with buying them from around the world, buying them from UK producers..."

Incompetence I'd say - I'm not too sure how many, if any, they have bought from around the world, and they have apparently ignored offers from UK prducers in favour of adapted vacuum cleaners. Had they listened to the producers they ignored, they would already have had at least 5000, with more in the pipeline.

We read that doctors are crowdfunding the purchase of equipment, and have been able to order it after some very generous donations. This shows it is available, but should it be down to doctors to have to raise money in this way?

I correctly rubbished the idea which has sunk without trace. A couple of backbenchers coming up with an idea does not make government policy.

Where are we now with it? It was never likely to happen, it will never happen.

The question being asked here is irrelevant - and the clip doesn't include the answer anyway.

What is relevant is the state of Michael Gove - apparently under the influence of alcohol or some other substance. Not for the first time either - he should be nowhere near a position of power at a time like this.

From the look of his eyes, I'd say booze with possibly a stimulant to keep him alert.

Thankfully he was able to announce record investment in the NHS and scores of new hospitals.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic austerity will be become the norm for the UK and all other countries for the next few years. There are fears of massive unemployment in the UK by June usually seen only in certain European countries.

A bit of austerity for the billionaires so that they can actually begin to understand what it's like for us mere mortals. Wealth comes from the ground up and it most certainly doesn't trickle down. Free parking and a pay rise for NHS workers for a start, easily financed by properly taxing those in the top 1%... nobody needs billions, no reason for them not to keep multi millions... too much money in too few pockets whisked away offshore.
Total reappraisal when this is all over.
