I think people have got too many concerns on their mind at the moment, than to be arguing on here. There is no way that I can see Boris lifting this lockdown in a couple of weeks, unless they do mass testing, and even then I'm not certain what it all means.

I honestly can't see when it'll be lifted. Best hope is June if we're lucky. And by lucky I mean we're able to test to see ppl have already had it and there's a vaccine.

I don't know how ppl will behave as this goes on. When the financial implications really kick in. Will the government buckle and be forced to ease off then?

Agreed. April is a write off, a lessening of restrictions in early to mid May is the best we can hope for I reckon.

I think people only stay tolerable for so long, hence why the government sets a goal in 3 weeks....it gives ppl the psychological aspect of something mental to focus on. It's not until it dawns on people that it might not be lifted in three weeks, that the people that govern us, will have to convince us once again, why it's being extended, and will that reasoning be acceptable to the population versus any potential suffering as a consequence (and visa versa of course). We are already seeing the early signs in Italy, how people start to become restless. My hope is that testing people on mass, will allow some of the population to return to normality and kick start the economy again, because I think extending the lock-down is fine as long has you see strides forward. To do nothing would just create frustration. I'd like to say, look at Germany as way of example, but I don't want to shout that too loudly in case it suddenly goes tits up.

Did you see eggs, rolled oats, pasta?

If supermarkets can get back to normal that'll be something. In all of this ****storm the one thing that was completely unnecessary was the food shortage. Totally self-inflicted.

I only have two main essentials to aim for in a supermarket, milk and potatoes! Anything else is a bonus.

    Really well put <ok>

I think when (not if) they say it's extended for another 3 weeks ppl will fear if it can be extended once where will it end. Then it's all about the mortgage, rent, gas bill, food bill, savings gone, overdraft. If they don't offer some hope of an end in sight I worry for what it will drive ppl towards.

Only half a toilet roll left...

I haven’t bought a single roll since this all kicked off. I’ve just used what was already in the house.

Hopefully when I venture out to look for some the absolute pricks have left some on the shelves. Otherwise I’ll be taking lots of showers <laugh>
