That’s a really interesting read tm, but just based on these two questions and answers I’d say we’re pretty much ****ed:-

Q: The lockdown in China began on 23 January in Wuhan and was expanded to neighboring cities in Hubei province. Other provinces in China had less restrictive shutdowns. How was all of this coordinated, and how important were the “supervisors” overseeing the efforts in neighborhoods?

A: You have to have understanding and consensus. For that you need very strong leadership, at the local and national level. You need a supervisor and coordinator working with the public very closely. Supervisors need to know who the close contacts are, who the suspected cases are. The supervisors in the community must be very alert. They are key.

Q: What mistakes are other countries making?

A: The big mistake in the U.S. and Europe, in my opinion, is that people aren’t wearing masks. This virus is transmitted by droplets and close contact. Droplets play a very important role—you’ve got to wear a mask, because when you speak, there are always droplets coming out of your mouth. Many people have asymptomatic or presymptomatic infections. If they are wearing face masks, it can prevent droplets that carry the virus from escaping and infecting others.

I think most people realise that wearing the masks don’t stop the virus hitting you from an infected person, however strong leadership, something we evidently don’t have, either at local or national level, would MAKE anyone venturing outside wear a mask, so that if they are infected the mask would catch any droplets leaving their mouth or nose, in doing this they would make gigantic strides towards stopping the spread. I honestly feel that until we do this, all wear masks when outside, that the spread will not cease.

This hit the news mid-January? Borders could have been secured and international travel prohibited, to contain the disease. There was plenty enough time for all countries to do this and isolate relatively few travellers returning from infected regions pre-winter holidays. The 'opposition' in every European country would have had a field day had this happened.

    Should be compulsory...

    N95 type bare minimum...

    FFP3 types decent...

    If you can find one...

China holds around a trillion dollars of US corporate and national debt and manufactures around 70% of their imports. They have far more control over the US than most think, hence the recent tariff war. Can't see Americans giving up their computers, phones, fridges etc. They can't even go back to their Motorolas as they're Chinese owned now.

I don't see why the citizens of China should pay for their governments mistakes. When condemning a country, remember that the people that live there are just regular human beings and aren't representative of their governments.

Though as I'm reading this, I just heard Trump has said he won't provide aid to the state of Washington because their governor was mean to him. He's not alright is he?

But that’s the kind of ideology that allows things like the Chinese communist party to both survive and thrive.

The ‘bloke’ is a joke mate.

Probably thinks it’s funny that when an officer returned to his car in East Hull earlier today they found it was covered in spit.

I reckon 99% of posters see the snivelling little ****er for what he is though and with every such post that opinion is confirmed.

You wouldn’t want this **** stood next to you in the trenches would you?

The people aren't to blame, they didn't try and cover it up, their government did. I'm a socialist, but I don't agree with what China do for the most part, it's too far towards total government control. Though it isn't as bad as some people make out, it's far from ideal.

There is zero chance he’d be anywhere near mate.

I think it's slightly more worrying she's asking The Daily Mail and Piers Morgan for insight on this.

Who, rather handily, I can just roll into the singular name "****rag".

Ugh don't, I've just had it out with a family member who shared one of his posts. Apparently a quarry lake in Derby has been dyed black to deter swimmers and Icke has said it's a sign of government control and suppression.

Ignoring that the lake is neon blue because of high aluminium levels and a low pH, which renders it acidic and harmful to organic tissue and that the police dyed it to stop ****wits swimming in it (like they do every year).

He's an anti-semetic, pointless human who belongs on the Moon, sans helmet.

Never liked him since I stood next to him in a fish and chip shop and he asked if they had beans.

Ah but would you order then whilst wearing a purple track suit?

    Beans have their place.
    In a jacket potato
    With sausage egg and chips
    On toast
    For breakfast

Mushy peas are the royalty of pulses.

I can’t say I’ve ever ordered beans in a chippy. But if I did I would have no qualms about wearing a purple tracksuit.

This is what I’ve been wearing to the supermarket
