It is staggering how stupid, selfish and ill disciplined people are. Covid19 is a horrible virus but the real virus is humanity itself.
The mistake was to announce early on that this was a virus that was only a concern for the old and those with underlying health conditions. Many will have decided that this means they don't need to give a damn and can carry on regardless. In any event, the advice looks to have been wrong! But had the message been alarmist from the outset - "you might die if you get this" - people would have reacted differently and responded better to the government's instructions, even though self interest would still have been their driving force,
A lot of the bad reactions to instructions have been due to previous actions by the government and media. There are substantial chunks of the population who no longer pay attention and/or disregard what they're told. Constantly spouting bullshit has negatives. Some people are just idiots or narcissists, of course.
On the subject of narcissists... https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/23/how-coronavirus-advice-from-boris-johnson-has-changed ...what, you were expecting something about Kirstie Allsop?

The last half hour of Parasite sucked"
Applauding the NHS might sound very laudable. But people were stood on the street in close proximity to their neighbours from the footage shown on the news from different places And on my street, those taking part had been letting their kids play out all day with other neighbours' kids as well as having visitors and coming and going frequently If you want to show support for the NHS, stay at home like you've been told to do to help stem the spread of the virus and try to reduce their workload. Doing what you've been told is far more effective than grand gestures!
A mate of mine took part in this " fat dads" game , he's very happy that he's not in the picture, might have been throwing up behind the club house at the time
