You may be able to handle yourself, you may not. But SAS soldiers are as good at fighting as Bolt is at running and Ronaldo is at football. They are the best special forces in the world. They could probably break your neck before you landed a punch.

You really are a bit dense, aren't you, TFWNN?
At no point did I say that Israel had been promised to the Jews by god, as I clearly don't believe that there is a god.
I said that they believed that it had been promised to them by god, just as you appear to believe that the descendants of Ishmael were.
The point in the debate was to establish why you believed that to be true.

You also appear to have a ton of trouble actually reading anything that I post, as I didn't say goodbye, either.
I said, "have a nice evening", after which I didn't post again for the rest of the night, as I went out.

When have I ever said that I know how the universe was created?
I haven't ever stated that, whereas you have, so the burden of proof lies on you.
You don't like that though, as your ideas don't stand up to scrutiny.
You like to make lots of claims that you can't back up and have a bit of a cry when they're challenged.

maybe so. I never said i would definately win

the argument was that there is no guarantee that the SAS guys are that tough that they could beat anyone, or along those lines (cue the exact word brigade)

At the risk of ridicule <laugh> i know fighting, have been doing it since about 5 and seriously since about 13
and not just karate/kung fu. and the one thing its taught me is that there are no guarantees in hand to hand combat

There's no guarantee Bolt would beat you in a sprint. He might injure himself or fall over. But he would be 99.9999% certain to win. As would the SAS man. He might trip over his own feet, fall and knock himself out. But again, the chances are that he'd knock you out within seconds.

I was going by the Torah/Bible.
It's quite explicit in promising the land to the Israelites.
is what you have said previously

why use something you dont accept and believe in an argument?

The problem with hypocrites like you is that they use whatever they can in a desperation to 'win'

I clearly said to you that i have no intention to discuss 'hypothetical' situations as they have no end.

I also said the discussion was getting repetitive and boring, going over the same stuff

you then resorted to abuse. so I replied in kind, at which point it seems you threw the toys out of the pram

maybe you should define some boundaries ala dev, for future discussion?

again maybe so, and bolt would have to lose bot legs for m to win. sprinting is not my thing

but if you look at the actual conversation, it wasnt quite how its portaryed on this thread

dare i say its a little sad to drag something up from weeks ago

    anyhow in response to you

I dont think i would allow a soldier to knock me out in seconds. SAS or otherwise

In what way have I been a hypocrite?
I don't think that the Israelites are entitled to the land because of some divine command and I've never said that I do.
As usual, you're full of **** and you're claiming things have been said that haven't.
You're the one that started being petty with your 'yes love' reply, so don't try to pretend that you're taking the higher ground, either.

The boundaries for you should be a limit on the number of ridiculous anti-West articles and comments that you post on here.
You're clearly a bit deranged and have extreme trouble reading what's actually been posted, rather than what you'd like to see.

Whenever anyone challenges anything you post, you decide that they're a bigot and a hypocrite.
You fail to argue any point successfully, hiding behind weak accusations, instead.

It wasn't weeks ago, and it wasn't me that brought it up. But having been reminded of it, it was too ridiculous for me not to comment.

You don't allow someone to knock you out anyway. They simply hit you hard enough in the right area and you lose consciousness.

And dare I say that if you were hard enough to take on one of the toughest fighters around, you'd be a professional fighter.

Fair enough. I think you just like an argument basically!

As someone said earlier, I think you do get a bad press on here. I don't agree with a lot of what you say, and some of it is a bit far-fetched. But you seem like a nice enough bloke <ok>

@ Jip you see the problem/issue I have is people accusing others of having an agenda whilst clearly having one of their own

Dev for example would have got the source etc he asked me for if he wasnt so aggressive an rude when it comes to any matters military

on one thread for example, he just states that he has it on good authority that something someone alleged wasnt true (its in the peacekeepers thread)
who that authority is is a mystery. we are expected to take his word for it. yet everyone else has to provide evidence as if it was a court case

do you think was making 'allegations' or suggesting allegations were being made and if dev could provide insight/ shed some light?

I have no problem giving a source if asked properly, and politely

The Torah/Bible does say that god promised the land to the Israelites.
What part of that is incorrect?

He needs to have his bullshit challenged, SNIAW.
I'm not going to let him post his bigoted crap on here every day without someone taking it to task.

I don't believe that the Bible is accurate and I don't believe in god, so how could I believe that the statement was factual, rather than opinion?
The Jews believe that they've been promised that land because of the Torah.
You believe otherwise, based on the same stories.
I was trying to clear up why, but you dodged the question, as usual.
