I'm sure the staff will be very grateful and think you are doing them a massive favour, gigantic even, by paying them what they have earned for their work and overtime throughout the month. Not all heroes wear capes iirc.

I think you are absolutely right, apart from the grateful bit (they won't be as they are all needy entitled twats) and not a single one of them will appreciate the potential harm I am putting myself in just so that they can get a few quid extra. No need to bother next month as all overtime has been stopped. Already had both of these conversations; "You can't make me come to work, it's the Coronavirus" "You have to let me come to work, I want to be paid my overtime"
Well Big big C has had enough and is back out in the motor in the morning. I'll let you know if he dies lads
If only. The sad fact is I have to deal with human beings, these human beings are manual trades and there are no bots that can do their work. Do you have a bot managing a football team? No, you need someone who has experience of playing and knows how to manage players. Biggest conflicts I have at work are senior managers and consultants who have never even picked up a spanner trying to tell me how to manage trades because there is no algorithm that applies to every scenario.
