Weren't Blackpool in the top 4 at this stage last season?

Still plenty of time for the Scum's bubble to burst.

Blackburn and Hull were yep. And look what happened to them. Though I wasn't optimistic about this eason before it began, bottom line is buying a couple of french nobodies are still better than 95% of english footballers. We might fall apart in the winter, half expecing it, when the weather gets cold and soggy, but at least we're not playing hoofball up to carroll and nolan anymore.

They have had massive slices of luck which can't last and a fairly easy start, Blackburn were dire today. Saying that though I think they are going to finish top half as unfortunatly Taylor and Colo look to have formed a very solid CB partnership and if you have that its half the battle. Will be interesting to see if their squad is good enough though if they get injuries and if they make any buys in Jan.

I like how so many mackems accuse us of having luck, but if any mags accused Sunderland of having some luck in a few of their games (which they have) then I'm sure they would be blasted.

But hey, I don't expect our biggest rivals to ever admit that we have quality players and we're playing quality football which results in good results.

Cheers for the comments lads. The main focus as ever is to bank enough points to avoid relegation... Anything after that is a bonus. I think the key will be Ben Arfa and his fitness...
    Good luck for tomorrow.
