Best of the rest?

You would expect that over the course of the season Man U, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs will finish ahead of us (although if we build on what we have got that could change in the coming seasons). But who else is there that could finish ahead of us this season? Everton have no money and have weakened their team a lot; we showed last week that we are much better than Villa. There are few teams that have looked promising such as Stoke and QPR but really I feel we are a step in quality ahead of them, and as long as we buy another striker and some defensive cover in January then we have got a strong squad as well.

So really I think 7th place is there for the taking. This is barring any major injuries, but they can also happen to any other team as well.

We need to get all the points we can now, because we've got Spurs next home game, and then sometime in Nov we've got Chelsea, City and Manure in a row. :S

With our first team, I'd say 7th

With our squad, and dependent on injuries, anywhere between 7th and 14th to be honest. Our squad is still paper thin.

Harper, Raylor, Wilo, Perch, Fergie, Gosling, Guthrie, Abeid, Marv, Vuckic, Best.

It is not that bad.

 

I don't know, Stoke will be 6th I think, then it will be close.

 

Its not an unrealistic target, cant see it happening.. but top 10 should be achievable.

 

It's not bad but there's not a lot of strength in depth outside the midfield area. If any of our first choice defenders or strikers gets injured we'll be in trouble.

 

I think our defence is the big concern if anyone gets injured, but I think in attack we will only be in trouble if both Ba and Best get injured because we can always just play 4-5-1.

 

I voted higher, is your man going to get his hands in his pockets and spend in January?

Provided we don't get many defensive injuries I'd say yes 7th is the ceiling

Top 7 is possible, but there is a long way to go, if we get top 10 at the end of the year I'll be pleased, even though I think we'll probably be slightly higher.

 

Stoke aint all that but at home the fans make the refs play to their tune.

Before the season started I was thinking we'd be around 13/14th so I'm well pleased with where we are and where we're going to finish.
