We're bottom of the table for cases of the virus in Hull, which is great. But does anyone know if we're actually being tested?

You only get tested if you’re so ill you end up in hospital, like everywhere else in the country, so we know there aren’t loads of people in a bad way.

    Doubt it
Food waste has gone up by 30% due to unused food going out of date

    statistics hey?

.......Italian man Giovanni Locatelli leafing through the obituary pages of L'Eco di Bergamo, a daily paper in the Lombardy region, which has been hardest hit by the outbreak.
He shows a copy of the paper from February 9, one and a half pages of obituaries at a time when Italy had only confirmed three cases.

Yes but people die for other reasons as well. Stats can mean anything.

I finally managed to get some milk, pizza and southern fried chicken.

**** all else mind, must be like flies on **** as soon as a delivery lorry turns up at the shop. (It was actually on the local spotted page that a lorry was there <laugh>)

Seems to be no pattern to it. I was in a huge Tesco in Durham today mid-morning. Very few people shopping, loads of food both fresh and processed. Nobody bulk buying.

If you’re going over that way..... the dark side, try fields in Analby. I haven’t been for years, but it was amazing - won national butcher of the year a few times a long time ago

Your NHS needs you! Join our team today.
NHS Volunteer Responders has been set up to support the NHS during the COVID-19 outbreak. To do this we need an 'army' of volunteers who can support the 1.5m people in England who are at most risk from the virus to stay well. Our doctors, nurses and other professionals will be able to refer people in to NHS Volunteer Responders and be confident that they have been matched with a reliable, named volunteer.

You can help by signing up for one or more of the tasks listed below. Once you have registered and checks are complete you will be provided a log-in to the GoodSAM Responder app. Switch the app to 'on duty', and you'll see live and local volunteer tasks to pick from nearby.

This programme enables volunteers to provide care or to help a vulnerable person, which is permitted under the new rules announced by the Government on 23rd March 2020. Volunteers may be asked to show the active task they are responding to if asked.

A graph someone on here posted showed that we had been at almost identical number of deaths from day 1 with Italy, until Friday (both were at 233). Over the weekend, our curve has massively flattened out, compared to Italy two weeks ago.
